Got back in the gym after havig a rest day to find that I'm still feeling the after effects of a virus I thought I got rid of as quick as it came. Pushed through a full upper-body workout but my energy bottomed out about half way and made me put my evening wrestling plans on the back burner. 👆MY RECOVERED BODY 🙈👆I usually don’t do posts like this but today I want to talk about my body image. I eat A LOT, and I eat a lot more than most normal people my age. I ate an additional snack today of a full mango and a few handfuls of pistachios today 🤫 simply because I was starving for seemingly no reason. I often feel guilty for eating so much compared to my peers; convincing myself that I don’t need all the “additional” snacks that I’m hungry for (up to 4 a day!) sometimes, I see my body, like my appetite, as” unnecessarily big” too. My eating disorder says that all those extra snacks are creating a whole lot of extra me. The truth is that I RARELY eat extra food, because it’s rare that I eat something I’m not hungry for. Some metabolisms ask for more food than others, and that doesn’t automatically create a bigger body! The body doesn’t ask for things for fun. If your body is asking for food, water, rest, or anything in between it’s because it NEEDS it! We are built for survival. I may be a hungry girl, but that doesn’t give me any reason to call myself a pig or fat and it doesn’t give you any reason either!
