I have made great progress tracking today towards my goal. I secured a safe location up in a tree, and preparing to meet the night. Tomorrow's goal is to locate a useable weapon for defence against possible local fauna encounters. #glyos#miniatures#pheyden#toyphotography
Did you know that Onell Design worked on projects BEFORE Glyos?
Prior to establishing the universe of Pheyden and his friends, Onell worked for another company called Beantown Toys. Their primary product was a figure called the Bean.
These colorful little collectible figures became quite popular in sections of the Northeast, even having exclusive releases at major chains in the area.
As Beantown expanded the world of the Bean, Onell had started the Glyos Universe...so one of the first "sister companies" became Beantown.
There were plans for playsets, vehicles, you name it.
The first of the proposed expansions to see release was the Spoon Racer, a small vehicle for the Bean which we'll explore in a future post.
The other that actually saw release was the Beanbot.
These robots could be assistants to the Bean, or worn by the Bean for greater mobility.
Long term Glyos fans know this figure as the Phaseon, as it was repurposed to better fit into the Gendrone mythos.
A few of the pieces were retired at that point, so obtaining old Beanbots will add parts to your arsenal which will never be run again. Beantown Toys may be gone but as one of the early sister companies, they won't be forgotten in the history of Glyos.
