My goals: Eat nutritious foods with 7-9 servings of non starchy vegetables a day. Meet my planned macros and phytonutrients needs. Reduce inflammation in my body (y'all I got poison ivy/oak on my legs and in MY EYE!!). Support a healthy gut microbiome (struggle is real) and lift HEAVY weights. So I prep.
Meals range from 6-12 oz veggies🍴chicken breast, green beans, carrots♦️shrimp, red quinoa, asparagus♦️Bison/turkey, pepper, onion, mushroom sauce on kelp noodles with mixed greens cooked with bacon ♦️chicken breast, red quinoa, roasted broccoli♦️chicken breast, quinoa, broccoli ♦️smoked paprika turkey breast, asparagus, quinoa♦️Green drinks: parsley, ginger, lime, celery, cuke, spinach, hemp pro, green powder, 4 pieces pineapple♦️snacks: honey crisp w CRUNCHY PB, pomegranate, lychees. .

I include turmeric whenever possible it helps

I use this spice when cooking adding 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon and black pepper.
It's spicey so be careful. I season my chicken, soups, and beans with it.
Cauli-Fern salad (Cauliflower and Fern/Pako Salad) Ingredients: 2 cups cauliflower (par boiled and chopped until it gets the consistency and texture of a buhaghag rice) 1/2 white onion bulb (julienned/sliced thinly) 1/3 cup carrots (julienned) 1/3 cup red bell pepper (roasted, seeded and julienned) 1/2 cup fern leaves (washed and trimmed) 1/3 cup red/purple cabbage (chiffonade) Seaweed salt Pepper Dressing: 1 clove garlic (finely minced) 1/3 cup fresh orange juice 1 tbsp honey Seaweed salt and pepper to taste Procedure: 1. Make the dressing first. In a small mixing bowl, convince all the dressing ingredients. Season accordingly and then set aside. 2. Toss all the ingredients with the prepared dressing. 3. Plate in a nice wooden bowl.

We got our new juicer up and running this week and I said goodbye to my old Champion juicer. She was a real beast and served me well for 15 years, but replacing parts would have cost almost as much as a new juicer...so, I found a new juicer that I like even better. The Omega juices at a much slower speed, preserving the precious enzymes that can degrade with high speed juicing. I typically favor smoothies over juice because with smoothies, you get the whole food, fiber and all, and nothing is wasted.
