🏆 Super student alert! Well done to Tahlia who turned up to her first lesson (still in school holidays!) with a fresh notebook boasting a beautiful cover page (with some very kind words on there!), her grade 4 exam pieces to complete before April, her 2018 goals written out, and her practice roster ready to go for the first fortnight. I am especially impressed that she has put her goal to sing this year on there. She was so terrified of trying this last year! So proud of her. Well done, Tahlia!! 🦋
First attempt at Bedroom floor ny Liam Payne on the piano. Figured the chords out myself by ear. I'm a noob when it comes to sight reading 😅 don't know how I made it past Grade 6 haha must be because I memorise what I'm playing. #pianocover#bothhands#liampayne#bedroomfloor
Jurassic Park theme practice! I started learning piano about 10 months ago on this digital Yamaha P115, as my first musical instrument and at the late age of 27, and with exclusively online instruction and some self-figuring-it-out. Already it feels like I can learn pretty much any easy to medium difficulty sheet music that I want with enough effort, and that feels pretty awesome!
If any of you are on the fence about learning piano, then I hope the structural integrity of your fence fails and you gracefully land on the piano side :p I always try to tell people that it takes like, 10 minutes to learn to VERY VERY slowly read basic sheet music. You have your 4 mnemonics to help remember what note a line or space is, and as for finding the actual keys on the keyboard, you have your 'chopsticks' to find C, and your 'forks' to find F (the black key groupings) and knowing it's A-G and it all repeats, to find the rest! Before you know it you will be serenading the spirit of Mozart with the most epic Mary Had a Little Lamb! 😂
