I was planning to go to Tibet in the summer of 2015, but for some reason that didn't work out so I went to Beijing to see #pierrebensusan 's concert. Last year, I was pretty determined in going to Tibet, so I went there by myself and spent a week there. It was a very unique experience.
Pierre Bensusan with his 1978? Lowden guitar at Wakefield Music. Amazing show. Amazing musician. Merci beaucoup Pierre ! I uploaded a few songs to my YouTube channel. Link in bio. #pierrebensusan#lowdenguitars#classicalguitar acousticguitar @lowdenguitars
Here is an excerpt of my acoustic cover of one of my favorite tunes by Pierre Bensusan "Dame du Clevedon" in DADGAD. The guitar is a @ryan_guitars Nightingale Bensusan signature model. Full video on my YouTube channel (link on my profile). Please share and subscribe! Enjoy!
Here's a wee clip of my cover of Pierre Bensusan's So Long Michael recorded a while back for his competition.
It's still one of my all time favourite tunes to play.
Gets me in the heart strings every time 😢

#pierrebensusan is far outside of my maxim If it doesn't have reverb, looping, distortion or echo I hardly recognize it as music. He came on my radar via some long ago aborted internet dating email exchange. Grateful for that and never had a chance to see him until the other night. Mastery and virtuoso and amazing ect hardly cover this guy's abilities with a guitar. Most astonishing was his seamless ability to weave Django jazz, seemingly improve classical, Victor Hugo poetry, French-Carribean music, and scat singing into song after song. So good things do come from internet dating
