🌟When your parents come to town to watch a full-day of grandkid soccer⚽️games, but grandpa has hurt his back😣 Luckily my dad invested in a family Physical Therapist years ago, so now it's time to cash💵in on that investment. So I brought out the tools, the essential oils and a hefty dose of body mechanics training (those mountain men and their chainsaws 🤦🏼♀️). Some Copaiba essential oil (good for healthy inflammatory response); @rockblades for a little IASTM; then we taped; then we moved. Interesting thing I see as a common theme amongst folks who have retired from physically active jobs (my dad's a retired plumber/fixer of all things) is that they assume they can still do all the things they used to, yet on a retiree's schedule. You know, the one that drinks coffee ☕️casually until 10am, watches some Netflix, does a little yard work, plays on the iPad📱,tackles the honey do-list and goes bowling/golfing. That's a far cry from lifting heavy pipes and getting in the trenches every day. So why would you think you can still sling a chainsaw like you used to? While I'm grateful my dad's not a couch potato, now more than ever it's time to be smart about how he moves🤓 It's definitely worth spending a little extra time with this population of your clientele, to give them the moves/exercises they need to support what they want to do. It'll be worth the while in the long run🌟

Cultivating discipline and making time for self mastery helps us explore beyond where we feel comfortable, expands our awareness and unlocks our potential. I see this practiced by almost every Instructor I really admire! They always schedule time for there own practice first no matter how busy. This is what gives them there teaching energy! #selfmastery

Front splits series with rotation- works on hip stability and flexibility. Having your front foot up on the bar really challenges your balance. Tip: try and get your rotation from your upper body and keep your hips still. #defymethod#limitlessyou
Feels so good to long stretch, on my knees of course but I'm not complaining 😜. Sorry for the lack of posts this week, I've been hit with a little cold and have just been laying low. It's fun to see just how much bigger the #babybelly is when I don't film for a week or 2 😆. I didn't have this Instagram or really take many pictures during my first pregnancy, so I'm really happy to have these progress videos/photos this time around ❤️
