It’s no surprise that PINK is on-trend. PINK has gained cult status, defining modern culture and now warrants a new name: “MILLENNIAL PINK”.
PINK is pleasing on the eye and tends to have a calming effect. Its success is also rooted in 90s nostalgia and modern feminism, but we might just be seeing the tip of the iceberg.
Modern PINK has shrugged off its associations with gender and now stands for something new altogether.
It’s interesting to reflect on the DEEPER meaning behind the colour PINK.
On the semiotic square, PINK is the opposite of GREY. It is deeply related to softness, wellness, femininity, childhood, humanity, fantasy and art. This is in stark contrast to hardness, sadness, masculinity, adulthood, technology, reality and science.
So here in lie the reasons why we might love it so much: PINK is an antidote to our high-tech and uniform reality. PINK is soothing because it expresses our soft and human side.
PINK in its modern meaning stands for WELLNESS and DIVERSITY, gender-neutral values that are becoming increasingly relevant and positive in our society. #LOVEPINK#TheMoodshake#life#style#mood#pink#lightpink#millenialpink#pinkhair#pinklover#fashion#design#art#lifestyle#streetstyle#diversity#wellness#beauty#cinema

Friends take note: a great photographer isn't afraid to ask someone if they can come into their house and climb out of their first floor window so they can risk life and limb standing on a roof just to get a good shot of you. Those blurry drunken shots will no longer cut it 😂. Some of you need to up your game #justsaying
