Let us feast on the Jalapeño Mac and Cheese Square. Mac and cheese works better on a pizza deconstructed. Thinned out sour cream base topped with whole milk mozz and buttered noodles with diced jalapeño. Bake then top with a generous amount of sharp cheddar. Residual heat will give the cheddar the perfect melt. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🍕ISSA REVIEW TIME🍕 What’s up Pizza Pals? Cheese Chums? Bread Buddies? It’s been too many days since I shared another pizza review with you all, so (hopefully) the location I picked tonight will make up for it! Without further a-dough, let’s gooooo:
For tonight’s review, I decided to venture outside of the UCF-area and try something that TONS of you have told me about: @official_pizza_bruno 🍕 This #OrlandoMade joint boasts a Neapolitan style slice, and created pies that are perfect for one person to comfortably enjoy. Under the guidance of fellow Orlando-lover, Jenny DeWitt (aka @townie_tourist❤️), I decided to get here early before the nightly crowd rolled in. This is HIGHLY recommended for anyone who wishes to dine-in, as they don’t do reservations for parties less than 8. However, you can also order online and take it to go (which is what I ended up doing).
The pizza I tried is called Blanco, which, as the name suggests, is a white-base ‘za. It had fresh mozzarella, LEMON ricotta 🍋, garlic, rosemary, loooooooooots of arugula, and pecorino. I honestly had my doubts about the lemon ricotta (because, lemons on pizza???), but it ended up working perfectly with the other flavors on the pie. The arugula was good, but I would’ve liked slightly less of it. Maybe I’ll ask for light arugula next time 🤷♀️ Oven-fired, the dough itself was chewy and soft, as was the...CRUST
The crust had a delicious, full-bodied flavor. Tbh, I ate all of mine AND my boyfriend’s 😂 None of it was burnt, and it wasn’t too much bread either. The only downside was that it had no external flavor (like a garlic butter). I rate this crust (and pizza) as a solid 9/10! As always, the link will be in my bio for you to try.
