Signed copies of the limited edition of 500 book will be on sale for $25 as well as a special edition of 100 signed prints from the book, available for $150. No one imagined that these men would attempt to shatter all human dreams in favor of their agenda but they try. So we march and work towards another day. Where humanity and its goodness will have its say. Dare to struggle, dare to win." - Larry Fink on The Women’s March on Washington

"I Went To Planned Parenthood And All I Got Was A Breast Exam, A Pap Smear, Physical Exam, STD Testing And Treatment, Information And Counseling About My Sexual And Reproductive Health, Cancer Screenings, A Pregnancy Test, Prenatal Services, And Access To Affordable Birth Control" 😎#ProWomensHealth . AND A QUICK LITTLE REMINDER TO THE FOLKS WHO ARE FURIOUSLY TYPING ANGRY COMMENTS: Planned Parenthood is NOT a line item in the federal budget, they do NOT get a blank check from the government. Like other health care providers or hospitals, they receive grants for specific programs and are reimbursed for the preventive services they provide to patients who rely on public programs for health care. MEANING, NO federal funds can be used for abortion. Though my personal beliefs don't agree with that law, it's the law, and @plannedparenthood fully complies with it and all government restrictions. K. That is all for today. ✌🏼 (My Hanukkah present/awesome bag is by @powerandlightpress. By creating and selling this bag, they raised 90k for #plannedparenthood . DAMN.)
I'd taken this picture back in September when I started reading it hence the long shaft of light coming through the window. I put it down on the fall solstice to focus on Autumn Cthulhu, and between Portland, Austin then heading north for two months of work I'd forgotten it till this morning. It's excellent. It's also a benefit zine, all proceeds split between Planned Parenthood, The Transgender Law Center and The Trevor Project. @dimshores still has copies in stock through the web store.

Last night I was part of an AMAZING round table discussion with influential women who came together to learn more about Planned Parenthood and discuss how we can stand together to help protect the services they provide to so many. .
In the words of Dawn Laguens, EVP of PPFA.
“Changing women’s lives is what we’ve been doing at Planned Parenthood for 101 years. A lot of people think our purpose is to give women the information they need to prevent pregnancy. And information has definitely been given — one in five women in the U.S. has come to Planned Parenthood for the information and health care they need. But the idea behind Planned Parenthood was always bigger than birth control — from day one it was about women being able to control their own lives. It was the idea that women’s bodies and pleasure are their own. Until that’s true, women cannot be free and they cannot be equal.
We should all be working toward the goal of equality, not just because all people deserve to live and work free of the fear of violence and discrimination, regardless of their gender. When women are in charge of their own bodies and lives, we make our country and the world a better place to live.” ~ read more here https://medium.com/planned-parenthood-action-fund/times-up-on-controlling-women-s-bodies-b3bb9cecc5f

@run4allwomen thanks for the opportunity, this 2018 let's go to more!
Yesterday our team of four traveled to Washington DC for the Evangelicals for Life conference and the March for Life. We’re excited to spend time with people that have the same heartbeat that we do!
Will you be in DC? We would love to meet you! #standforlife
Reposting this in support of my sassy friend @jwalk421 and this campaign to decrease the stigma 1 in 8 women feel. All the women (and men) I know battling fertility issues are 💪🏻 & 🔥 & ❤️. Take 2 mins to take the pledge to start talking openly & listening actively when it comes to fertility with the people in your life at wesaythefword.com and @celmatix will donate $1 to the reprohealth ed. nonprofit of your choice. In support of the 45th anniversary of Roe v Wade I picked @plannedparenthood, a great resource for those with fertility questions or issues. Sassier together. 💋
I’m currently showcasing some photos I took over the summer of my time spent with refugees in Greece. I’m so proud of this work. It took all my courage or hutzpah as my mom would say to ask these brave women to share their stories and be photographed. This is the work I dreamed of doing when I first picked up a camera when I was a little girl. I remember in high school learning all about Annie Leibovitz’s work. I was obsessed. If you don’t know she’s basically photographed everyone. Flash forward to present I went to DC’s @womeninthearts recently and there was a photograph Annie took of Dolly Parton. I broke down in tears. I had somehow found my way back to portraits all on my own and Annie was here to welcome me. Now I still have a lot to learn and I want to keep making them better, but I’m so glad I’m here. #Repost @goperiodportraits
Marzia| “I had my daughter at 20 years old. I had a c-section, but it was no good. Afterwards, I did not get my period. I’m 27 years old. It is very bad. Some people have heart and head problems. This is my problem. No more period for me. I don’t know why. I pray to God to get my period again. In Islam we have 124,000 prophets. I pray for my period.” Currently showcasing portraits from our time spent in Greece working with refugees and migrants with @theunmentionablesorg
Somai| “In the (refugee) camp we were not close to a bathroom or shower. It was a 30 minute walk to any bathroom. It was a very big camp. I became pregnant in the camp and I was moved to a hotel when I was five months pregnant. There was no doctor for pregnant women and they didn’t speak Arabic.” Currently showcasing portraits of refugees and migrants from our time in Greece with @theunmentionablesorg
The Universe guided me into a conversation with #PlannedParenthood and some of the funniest women in Hollywood tonight. Feels destined. Last year an astrologist and a psychic shared that they envision me teaching sex education in the future. Planned Parenthood has a sex education department. Sounds like destiny. And I see how much it's needed to be included in our conversations and also more deeply understood for our existence. We come from sex. @mintmilana, you're the Universe here ❤️🙏🏼👁
We stand with #PlannedParenthood . Did you know that they have an entire department dedicated to sex education? Do you realize how important this is and they are? Will you stand with them too? We need you!! Thank you for inviting us to be a part of the conversation @mintmilana. #feminineweapon
Weird band photos are weird 🌵
Thank you so much to everyone came out to support the @plannedparenthood benefit tonight. I'm feeling crazy inspired to keep doing these benefit shows to highlight different kinds of artists in the city and beyond. I don't know yet but the vibe was perfect. Thank you to everyone who performed and to @wemf for supporting our vision. Btw we rep @trapgarden and @goratoryofficial. Til next time!
Stayed at work late to support PP Young Professionals affinity group in making signs for this Saturday's #womensmarch ! It's not just about women. Please read my 10 chapter book below!
It is actually doubly troubling! 🤤 This is intersectional. The hegemonic control of Victorian, antiquated policy reflects nothing short of intentional, inexcusable, systematic sexism and racism. The fact that women make only a percentage of what men make is proof. The fact that women of color make less than that is further proof. As a half caucasian, half Mexican woman who grew up where I grew up in my little Azusa #barrio - Los lobos tortas bomb af! Don't mess with my elote! - , as white-passing, as someone who could go either way, I HAVE to say something. As someone who spent 6 years at #csuf studying the nuances of American culture and the impact Victorian social norms and Jim Crow leftover, I HAVE to say something. I'm an educated female and you cannot shut me up. 🤓📣📣📣 Shout out to my love @bowser1511 for falling in love with me during my academia loving days, spending all day in the library reading about the American Junkie, the Beat era 💞 #ginsbergandkarouac , punk subculture and the links between that, feminism and modern femininity, and subversion in all female roller derby. 😅🕶 Babe i love you and your support of feminism. That's sexy af! #americanstudies#academia#carrielanefanclub#profjessebattanchangedmylife#hegemony#effthebs#HOWL 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
