Literally. People at the balloon festival stopped in their tracks to stare at my beautiful model. It made me a little uncomfortable, but in Aish's words, "I don't know any of these people, it doesn't matter." So proud of her for posing like this in front of curious eyes! 👀
Plano balloon festival anyone? We had an absolute BLAST!!! This was our first balloon festival and we will be going every year!! Let’s start with the basics. This is located at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve in Plano, TX and it is for everyone! Anyone under 36” is free, everyone else will pay $5 unless you’re an awesome senior citizen, then you’ll pay $4 for entry. Parking was pretty easy. We parked in the Plano event center parking lot for $5. It was a 3/4 mile walk from the lot to the entrance but we enjoy walking! There are other parking areas closer that range from $5-$10. So, there were a lot of vendors there. Some had free things, pens, fans, bags, games to play to win stuff, etc. Others sold all kinds of things, art, kids toys, etc. A lot of food vendors, bbq, corn, burgers, chicken, and tons of others. A cool thing they had there was a kid area. We don’t have kids but it looked like a cool area, lots of bounce houses! In addition to all of this, they also had tethered balloon rides that were $25 for adults and $15 for kids 6-12. That looked really cool, especially at night, but we’re on a budget so maybe next year! The Remax skydiving team also put on a little show which was awesome! On to the nighttime fun! You absolutely MUST stick around for the evening activities! A few balloons were able to go up before sunset hit. Fun fact, at sunset, hot air balloons are not allowed to fly due to FAA regulations. This is when the magic happens. All of the balloons get ready to light up the field! This is something you have to stay and watch! Watch the video to see the awesomeness!!! And finally for the evening, stay for the fireworks! They’re pretty grand and we noticed some people were coming into the festival just for the fireworks! All in all, we would say, stick around for the evening activities, enjoy spending time with your family, and put this on your calendar for next year!!! #plano planotx #planotexas#balloon#planoballoonfestival#planoballoon#hotairballoon#hotairballoonfestival#remax#remaxhotairballoon#ryrmendozatravel#travel#festival#imgoingtothefestival#planoballoonfestival2017#hotairballooning#blueskies#traveling#photography
