Watch your hand and elbow position: Many people think that hand position determines what aspect of the back gets worked, but that's not exactly right—it's elbow position. Your elbow determines the muscles that get activated when retracting for a squeeze, if your elbows are traveling back way out to your sides at shoulder height, then you're focusing on the upper muscles of the back and traps. On the other hand, if your elbow is low and pinned next to your body, then you're targeting the muscles of the mid back and lats.

Doesn't this look tasty?! Strawberry Vanilla Protein Smoothie 🤤. Each morning I'll have my superfood smoothies for breakfast. It's full of all the nutrients my body needs or lacks. I've switched over from whey to a plant based protein and I've noticed a difference in my energy levels but overall how gentle it is on my tummy. No more bloating or stinky farts 💨😜 and my shaker if left out doesn't stink anymore 🤢 Which means I get to keep them and not buy anymore 🙄I know we all have left a dirty shaker after drinking our whey protein in the sink or car......the smell is horrible 🤢 If something can smell so bad...I wonder if that's the cause of bloating or stinky farts 🤔 What do you think?
My mom made this amazing dinner yesterday evening: it's grilled artichokes, a big salad and a potato gratin with vegan cheese 😊 it is so great to see that my family is supporting our lifestyle! Of course there were a lot of questions in the beginning and there are still some jokes from my brothers but they have all accepted it and even though they are not vegan they do have reduced their meat and dairy intake! I don't usually dress up for dinner but I felt with the end of summer quickly approaching, I needed to get this lil dress out the way. I felt so pretty and it felt different not being in active wear that's for sure!
I got to be with my fave activists @lena_canoeybeans and it was just amazing to be at a table with amazing Black women talking about activism, ways to help our people and just to laugh!! Lena and @sheraasaurus @atenadelight we're just joys! Dinner was yummo but I can't wait for a redux of last night! 🥂
Grocery shopping day🥒🍅🍊🍋🍑 For @potter.james and I grocery shopping is the most looked-forward to event of the week! It's almost a game to try to buy as much high quality and organic items as well as trying to be as waste free and as cost effective as we can♻️ Can't wait for next week!🥝🍌
This morning's breakfast... I was up bright and early... soon it'll be time for brunch! I'm like a hobbit... breakfast, brunch, elevensees, lunch... 😂 These are the blackberries we picked mixed with sprouted organic almonds, organic sunflower seeds and gluten free granola @lemonadeglutenfreebakery If I haven't made my own (which I haven't in quite some time) I usually get Pacific Foods organic unsweetened original almond milk (pictured here) or Natura Original Organic Fortified Rice Beverage -- whichever is on sale although tbh... I probably get the rice milk more often because it has a few better ingredients and isn't as sweet so it's more versatile. Both of the milks are in tetrapacks (found in dry food as oppose to fridge).
Hier meine Empfehlung zum Thema 'veganes Proteinpulver' (da ich einige Sorten gewonnen bzw. vorher schon selbst erworben hatte, habe ich mittlerweile jedes kosten können):
Der Eiweiß Shake von dm (Sportness) ist recht lecker und mit Vitamin B6 und B12 angereichert (was ich persönlich jetzt unnötig finde). Leider ist die Zutatenliste recht lang (viele unnötige künstliche Zusätze) was es vermutlich recht günstig macht. Geht so. Aber schmeckt.
Das Proteinpulver von @nu3 (Schoko) ist mega lecker und enthält neben pflanzlichen Proteinquellen nur Kakaopulver, Salz, natürliches Aroma und Stevia (wie übrigens alle die ihr seht auf dem Bild! ☝️) . Empfehle ich, auch wenn es fast schon etwas "zu süß" ist für meinen Geschmack.
Das Active Women Vegan Blend von myprotein ist Geschmacksrichtung Banane-Zimt. Klang unglaublich vielversprechend, schmeckt mir aber leider gar nicht. Und die Liste der Zutaten ist sooo lang (auch Vitamine und so ein Kram zugesetzt sind - da ist sehr viel überflüssig). Enttäuschend!
Mein Favourite: das Vanille Protein von @foodspring. Hochwertige Proteine (Erbse, Sonnenblume, Hanf, Reis) und nur ein Trennmittel sowie natürliches Aroma als Zusatz. Alles aus biologischem Anbau und schmeckt mir persönlich sehr gut. Und ich trinke es mit einem guten Gefühl. Das lasse ich mir dann auch gern etwas kosten, denn es ist das teuerste aller Produkte.
Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch ein wenig helfen bzw Info geben, falls ihr auch noch rum probiert. Mehr Worte lässt instagram leider nicht zu, also fragt mich gerne, wenn noch was unklar ist 😊

Seriously this is pure joy for my taste buds every morning! Going on 3 years strong of this daily habit 💪🏾. It just makes getting some superfoods nourishment first thing each day easy for me.
Keep in mind when we start our day off providing our body with what it needs...vitamins and minerals, fiber, pre and probiotics, Digestive enzymes, protein, carbs, and fat....we are more likely to continue eating such healthy nourishing foods the rest of the day and LESS likely to reach for the junk 😉
BLUEBERRY QUINOA YOGURT by @vanelja ✨
A lovely quinoa based vegan yogurt flavored with blueberries and vanilla. Suitable also for people with allergies!
2 cups quinoa (cooked)
2 cups oat milk (or some other dairy free milk)
½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen and thawed)
2-4 tbsp raw organic honey or coconut syrup
2 capsules of probiotics
½ tsp vanilla powder
Cook the quinoa according to the instructions of the package. Let it cool. Pour the quinoa into a blender and add the oat milk, blueberries and the sweetener. Blend until very smooth. Add more liquid, if needed, so that you get the texture as smooth as possible. Taste and add more sweetener or blueberries, if you like. Open the probiotic capsules and pour the powder to the mixture. Mix gently. Pour the mixture into a sterilized and totally dry glass jar. You can sterilize the jar with boiling water in a big pot (for couple of minutes) or washing it in a dish machine. Beware of not to leave any water in the jar. Close the jar with a lid or cover with a cheesecloth and a rubber band. Turn the oven light on, but do not heat the oven. The oven light should keep the oven warm enough for the yogurt. Place the yogurt in the oven with the light on and leave the yogurt to set for about 8 – 12 hours. The longer you let the yogurt ferment, the stronger and more sour the flavor will be. Take the jar from the oven, stir in vanilla ja put the jar in the fridge and let it cool. Use within a week.
