Completely uninspired picture of the Play Arts Kai Batgirl from Arkham Knight. Sorry guys, but neither the PAK stand or the Kaiser stand I have work very well for her since she's so slim, so I couldn't achieve half the poses I wanted to try. And this one shows off the lovely Remote Electrical Charge, proof that Square Enix can in fact make other accessories for Batman besides the grapnal and the batarang. She also comes with the batarang though...and a bunch of hands. As for the sculpt, she looks pretty awesome. I'm so happy they did her justice, unlike that first one they put out that had ridiculous pornstar boobs, booty shorts with thigh high boots, and super anime face. She wasn't part of the Arkham line or anything but after I saw the anime face on Robin, I was worried. But they did a great job on the body and the face. The articulation is a bit of a step backwards though. Single knee joint and no foot articulation (but insane ankle articulation), but they gave her a joint for her hair (yes, really). The cape is weird too. IMO not as easy to maneuver as the others in the AK line. Instead of 1 joint attaching each cape flap directly to the back and then the cape spreading independently, she has 1 joint attaching the cape to her back and then 2 more joints about an inch further down that fans it out further and also acts as a spreader, but it doesn't work as well. You kind of have to move the two flaps in a way that makes it difficult to spread the cape and still have it look like one piece...if that makes sense. So you get a lot of movement out of the cape, but spreading it out is difficult to achieve. Anyway, that's all I got if I want this posted by midnight. I need to come up with a Plan C for stands and hopefully I can get better pics of her.

Play Arts Kai Arkham Knight Robin (Tim Drake). Not my favorite Robin costume, although as with the AK Batman, I do like the look and detail of the PAK version a hell of a lot more than the DCD. And I like that they gave you an option between the hood up or down (it's up on the Arkham City versions by PAK, Mattel, and DCD and up on the AK version by DCD). Of course I'd like it more if there wasn't a gap all around the hairline. This whole figure has some random issues and I don't know if it's the figure in general or just my crap luck, but the hairline is one issue, his right foot looks like a left foot to me (but I can't tell if it's the whole foot or the articulated toe piece), his chest joint shows a gap if I have him standing up straight, the bottom half of his double knee joint feels like it'll snap if I go for more than 1 click, and the knuckles on one of the interchangeable right hands looks scraped up, but also like maybe it was painted that way on purpose. So he's got some issues which are all minor on their own, but when there's that many on a figure that costs more than $100, it's a little irritating. As for accessories, he comes with 2 of both the staff and thr staff shield. I assume at some point in the game maybe he was using 2 staffs (no, I still haven't played AK) or one with the shield up and one without. I do wish they'd included the unextended version though (the DCD did). As for the molds on the staff and shield, it's the same as Origins Robin (which is supposedly Dick) and almost the same paint, but the R in the center of the shield is slightly different and one is more brass, the other more gold, but not drastically noticeably different. Other accessories include the hair piece, full hood, and a hood to attach to his back when you have the hair piece on. As for the figure sculpt, he's amazing from the neck down, but the face, imo, is way too anime looking. I feel like I have to display him without the hood, just because it's an option finally, but the hood at least covers the face a bit. I mean it's a nice smooth sculpt, he just looks too much like an anime character for my taste.
