Congratulations to former Maple Leaf Dave Andreychuk on being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Andreychuk played in parts of four seasons with the Leafs, highlighted by a 99 point season in 1993-1994.
Will The Hornets Make A Playoff Push Next Year? In My Opinion The Answer is Yes and here is why. First Off We Added A Good Center Talent in Dwight Howard, And Sure Some People Will Say That He's Old and Done But I Think He Still Has A. Good 2 More Years Left In Him. Next We Got The Steal Of The Draft In Malik Monk Who Is Very Similar To Kemba and Will Score The Ball Very Well! We Also Added Dwane Bacon Who You Should Not Sleep On Because He Could Be A Key Part Of Our Offense!
Had a great weekend down at the #pottstownrumble ! Broke pool both days and advanced to playoffs, including making top 16 yesterday. @leontse and @jamiebredahl crushed it all weekend long! Favorite plays: Jamie tagging guys and Leon's "you don't hit into the China Wall" block. #gruntlife#shoulderisdead#playoffs#havetobebetter
Goodluck to all of our players this coming week as they complete their final exams. It’s very important to see how you did on these final exams because there are a lot of learnings to take away. Things like, how you felt going into that final exam, nervous, pressure, anxiety or were you calm and collected. A lot of times you go into that final exam with a high grade and then when that final exam is worth 50% you come out with a mark much lower than you expected and lots of times it’s not because you didn’t prepare enough, it’s how you approach that final – being calm, collected and using your time effectively. We know some people just don’t believe in meditation, but it truly does have its effects on situations like these, it’s the same thing when professional athletes make that big play or buzzer beating shot in the final. Some are able to control their emotions and execute, some can’t – reason why there is only 1 Michael Jordan or 1 Sidney Crosby. Important that we write these final exams and then go back and see how we did. If you did well, great, keep doing what you’re doing, if you didn’t, maybe make some changes or change the approach next time. Shout out to Danny Gayle @freshouttagayle and Tom Kroshus @tkroshus51 for coming to skate earlier this spring and giving their thoughts on how important grades are no matter how good of a hockey player you are. They spoke a lot about the number of doors that opened for them by being a good student. Danny played in the Western Hockey League for the Moose Jaw Warriors & Calgary Hitmen and then played for the U of C Dinos while completing his BComm in Finance. Tom played NCAA Division 1 in Princeton and is now going to medical school. Finish strong and goodluck!
