Sometimes musical mountaineering is downright miserable. Many times, I wonder, ‘WHY?!’. Nobody is forcing me to do this. On this day, in that particularly stunning spot, I was so cold that I was shaking and I was suffering from a stomach bug that I picked up in Mexico. The awe-inspiring photos sometimes don’t show the ‘reality’ of what these excursions are like.⠀
And yet, each time I’ve asked, ‘Why?’... I’ve received an answer:⠀
A grieving family member who found peace in the music.⠀
A friend who found comfort in our positivity.⠀
A child who was encouraged to follow a dream.⠀
I don’t know if I’ve shared this here, but the idea to play my violin on a mountain came to me in a vision. I had prayed to find a way to share more love and positivity in the world - I had asked to find my true purpose in life. Lying in bed one night at 2am, I heard: ‘Play your violin on a mountain.’ ⠀
I listened. I’m so glad I did. ❤️🎹🎻🎼⠀
This day includes me ❤️⠀

We can’t take family photos without at least one “silly” face.
Dear Colorado, thank you for an amazing adventure filled 10 years. I will miss you terribly. I will be leaving the majestic rocky mountain lifestyle for the mysterious and fairy filled Pacific Northwest of Washington soon. The hubby received a new store and bought me a new house. I am beyond blessed to have such an opportunity to live with my family in the stunning varied beauty that the #pnwonderland has to offer 💖🙏 📸by MChamberofCommerce
There are numerous decks inside our lodge to catch gorgeous Sunshine Coast sunrises and sunsets! Which do you prefer?
“Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.”✌🏻❤️ Via @fineartweddingphotos on Instagram #WCWLodge
Forever the most inspirational place for me hands down. So many memories throughout the years of visiting, living, and working here. I was literally living the dream and didn’t even realize it. How fast we want to run to the next stage without savoring the one we are in. This was a special moment in my life that I reflect on often. What is your favorite inspirational place?
I absolutely love finding old abandoned places and structures. I’m intrigued by their history and how they came to be. Although this place is generally well known with a trail named after it, I was unaware of its existence until today.
This old abandoned bus was used by logging companies to haul crews to work sites on Tiger Mountain in the early 1950’s. Once on site, it was used like a building in a logging camp.
By 1954, it was abandoned, on its side, and salvagers yanked out the engine and tires.
Anyone know of more places in WA/OR like this one?
