We were barbecuing at the cabin midday. After setting all the ingredients in the grill to be cooked low and slow, we looked up and saw that our meat-smoking apparatus created a layer of smog that penetrated the trees and collided with the sun's rays of light. The only thing I questioned at that very moment was the whereabouts of my polaroid.
i can't actually remember the first time i met Tari. but the first time i really hung out with her was at a fire watch tower we spent a weekend at for her birthday back in 2015. i commissioned @creme_fraiche to bake a clementine cake 🍊🎂 that Tari had a love-at-first-bite of once 👅 then snuck it into the cabin hidden in a box under an upside-down mixing bowl.⠀
later Tari said that if she'd known me better, she would've told me there was no way i was hauling cooking supplies up to our cramped little sleeping quarters at the top of a 40 foot tower.⠀
but she didn't, so she didn't & the surprise was just 😙👌🏼
412. This massive train station lobby is filled with the aromas of coffee in the mornings and of popcorn in the afternoons. Surprisingly, these aromas all come from a tiny newsstand tucked behind the archway and below the glowing red lights. Though hidden from sight, this newsstand knows how to grab people’s attention with a simple whiff.
