HOLY COW it was cold this morning! I did not want to get up and teach class this AT ALL. A lot of my students didn't want the make the trip either. However, I couldn't let down those who got themselves out of bed and into the GX room. I owed it to them to give it my all. Once the music started pumping, we were ROCKING.
It got me thinking about how that applies to workouts in general. You owe it to those around you to live the healthiest and longest life you can live. They're counting on you to be there for as many birthdays and holidays your body and mind will give you on this Earth. Are you going to trade in a healthier you just to avoid a little cold weather, or whatever inconvenience is holding you back?

Going into my first Cleanse Day like 💥! Today’s #piitday119 post was supposed to be a post workout picture, but today is a rest day for me. Even though the #piit28 program has rest days scheduled in, I find it’s better for me to fit them into my schedule as I need them rather than make my schedule work around those rest days. So hump day=rest day! 👌🏼😴
But really, it’s actually a growth day! And as of now, it’s also a Cleanse Day! 🙌🏼😁 I’m so excited to get through this!
What do you guys do on your rest day? How do you schedule them in? Please tell me you take one a week!! Your body needs it and you can actually plateau yourself by omitting them! 🙏🏼
Just finished the full 55 minute #POP10 choreography as my total body workout for the day! I did it all from memory!! I can't believe it really. I almost forgot the back workout portion but I did it! #transformationtuesday Well. I made it to #Preinjury abilities. 🙏💪🙌 Even though I never got all the feeling back in my knee. 🤷♀️ I really can't complain though. I even saw my surgeon and was able to thank him again and show him my @chimarathon medal!! 🏅🏃🏼♀️After my #emergencykneesurgery , literally first question I asked was "CAN I STILL RUN A MARATHON IN 2 MONTHS?!" 😂😂😂 I had sustained a brain injury as well, so no, truly, I was not "all there". But he said "Yes You Can", ✨and I didn't get there in 2 months, but I DID GET THERE IN 22 MONTHS!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌😅😅😅😅And it feels like 2 years ago was just yesterday. I know that there are no guarantees in life, but I've got to say, it absolutely made the difference that SINCE DAY 1, I was #determined to get here. I was never going to give up my relentless pursuit of living my life as I choose. Not a bad memory, or a shitty experience, can ever take my strength away. I earned it. 💁And I will keep going. I'm still hungry. I've got a lot to fight left in me. Happy Tuesday friends. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. Your encouragement helped me get thru the most painful days of my life. Real flattering angle, Lindsay 😂😂 I just wanted to share that I LOVE hammer curls. They make me feel so powerful yet give me room to grow.
I'm doing my best to keep my posture tall the whole time to make sure it's the bicep that's working. I also don't want to just throw my arm up and lose the benefit of the move.

We all know how important having breakfast is, right? Just to remind you, my greatgrandfather always used to say "Have breakfast by yourself, share your lunch with a friend and give your dinner to your enemy." While that may be a bit far-fetched, it never fails to stress that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Yesterday, I did the hardest workout ever! Ashley and I never get to work out together since we live so far apart, so I drove up to her so we could. When we were discussing what we could do, she said we could do the monument steps. I was scared when she said it, and I was definitely right to be! It was four flights of stairs with a landing in between. Then we would do push ups, sit ups, some pop moves, or whatever we thought of at the top. We then ran back down and took a lap around the lawn. We did that three times! It was the hardest 37 minutes of my life, but I would totally do it again! Only a real best friend is down to have your sweaty face on their face after you both just worked your 🍑 off in buti yoga (my new favorite format and also the new favorite format of every person at F.I.T. Fest).
