I got half day off today in conjunction of tomorrow's Diwali celebration. First thing I did was took a nap, went for a run, and picked up this little monkey from school. We went to the playground for a bit. Great moment. #motherdaughter#halfdayoff#happydiwali#positiveenergy

Introducing next Artist on the lineup for Poetry & Spoken Word Fri, Oct 20th...
My name is Truth, born Deandre Heath, raised in Kinston North Carolina. I am a freestyle poet who begun freestyling not too long ago. For me that is as real as feelings get. Right then right there, on the spot, from your mind. I aim to inspire with my words.
A couple of months ago I was in a car wreck that nearly ended my life. I am going blind and cannot clearly see, read or write. I see visions with the words that I use. It was all in God's plan. I have a lot to profess. I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a testimony. My soul has been blessed.
Spoken word is my life and expressing myself has become my life from the words on my mind. I plan on reaching the world through prosperity and greatness. I have been nominated for an award of Rising New Poet Star, and I am first place in the State of North Carolina. The gift of freestyle is deep in me and I express my way, my feeling and my life through my work of art. I will not stop. I will continue to be true.
I am don’t care about politics, I care about humanity. I don’t care about material goods, I care about energy. Throughout the history of mankind, we have seen minorities in all societies being suppressed and stripped form human rights. Dear to my heart is the struggle of Kurdish people, a peaceful people that has always had a strong connection Mother Earth, using natural resources for health and medicine, just as the Native Americans. The people have strong roots in farming and the knowledge of the importance of celestial bodies such as the Sun (as you can see in the flag). With this heritage, I understand my natural inclination to earth and the Universe. As Kurds have spread out throughout the world, we have never forgotten our deep bond to the roots of earth and we have embraced all religions and faiths: Judiasim, Christianity, Islam, Zoroastrianism, Yarsanism, Yazidism and more. Freedom, indpependence and acceptance is the right of all beings on this planet and as we shift our own consciousness, the whole collective will shift. Oneness is everything and if we all put our love and healing into others we will create a more peaceful and world. Today I want to unite us all and prove to the world that we are all the same and we all feel the same🙏 please comment below, your nationality and your heritage. We are sisters and brothers of the world 🌎
I got 99 problems, and 98 of them are sore muscles 🙈 Sore muscles are bound to happen when you start working out or switch up your routine. And this is usually the point where people take a day or two off, then try and jump back in. I know it seems like the like a legit choice... but that’s like 1 step forward 2 steps back. Doesn’t really make sense when it’s put that way?? My best advice is warm up and stretch before your workout. If you legs are sore? Stretch and warm them up. Start small. Do not try and crush those plyo jumps. I would rather one step forward followed by two baby steps. And then maybe next time, don’t push so hard when you first start. Give your self a week to get back in your groove before crushing out personal bests✌🏼Happy Tuesday😘 #tuesdaythoughts#soremuscles
