If you want to be a ‘success story’, if you want to get interviewed and be described as ‘successful’ or if you want to coach others on ‘how to be successful’ … then you NEED to be really clear on it yourself first. We’re not defined by others calling us successful. We don’t need anyone to tell us we are or what that looks like. It’s down to us.
Inhale love, exhale hate. Inhale confidence, exhale self doubt. Inhale positivity, exhale negativity. Let go of the things no longer serving you and make room for the positive things that do 🙏✨
If there was a 'correct' answer to this question, I guess the intellectual one would be an emphatic no.
But deep down I think we all pine to know if there's a happily-ever-after Hollywood ending to our lives - and if peeking at the story of our life book reveals there isn't one, we'd instinctually want to make the necessary course corrections.
After all, the end is where we start from, no?
The thing with life though is that it gives us plenty of endings - some in the form of broken relationships, losing a job or failing at something, illness, or the death of loved ones. It's those things that push us closer to our purpose on earth - not the successes or happy times. It's those things that give us clues about how to course correct in order live a more fulfilling life - or a life with more meaning.
None of us knows when our ending will come, or what it will be - but what we know and can control is the here and now. How we choose to live our life today. Do remember that life isn't supposed to be easy, and sometimes we're going to have to learn some lessons more than once. The least productive thing you can do is compare your life to someone else's - they have struggles and challenges you couldn't possibly imagine or be aware of.
Learn to love the life you have. Accept that some events are beyond your control. And aim for fulfillment - which you get from helping or genuinely connecting with others. Because in life what truly matters is not the getting, but the giving.
Then when the end comes, whenever and in whatever form, you can look back and know that above it all your life meant something; it had depth.
Afterthought: Having said all that, I'd still fancy having a bit of a peek at my story ending.
Post cardio smiles 😀😋 Never ever thought I'd enjoy cardio like I have the past two weeks. I immediately wake up and get excited to go do cardio before I lift and it's so weird because I HATED cardio up until now. I did it maybe once a month. Now I find myself WANTING to do it and it's giving me more energy throughout the day, making it easier to stay happy and positive. It always amazes me how fast my fitness goals change and adapt. Gaining muscle and strength is still my priority, so I'm interested to see how I need to adapt my training around my new cardio schedule
When I make a mistake, I feel like a child tryna hide from my granny - shouting Shaggy lyrics,
"It wasn't me!" My face and ears get all hot, and if you peer through the melanin, my skin is most likely red.
But as I keep growing and adulting, I learning how to own up to my ish instead of running away from it.
So whether I'm making a mistake or accomplishing a task, it's all the same. Because regardless, I just got to own it.
What is your initial reaction when you make a mistake? Looking forward to your fly as f thoughts in the comments 👇🏾
Rest and self-care are so important.
When you take time to replenish your spirit it allows you to serve others from the overflow.
You cannot serve from empty vessel.
How do you replenish your spirit?
Meditation, reading, journal?
What works for you?

"Find balance in life!" 👌🏻
When most people think about the word change and making a change a lot of negativity usually comes up. I hear things like “It’s hard… It’s uncomfortable….Why should I even bother because I’ll probably fail anyways.” But here’s the thing, yes change is hard, but I would also argue that staying the same is just as hard if not harder. You pick your hard. Oftentimes, the things we want the most in life doesn’t come easy. Change takes time, effort and commitment and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. But it’s often during those difficult and trying times, is where you can find beauty amongst all the muck. That is where you find your strength, your determination, and your CONFIDENCE. When you can shift your perspective about change from seeing it as something negative to something that’s more positive, that’s when the magic happens. Change is all about the journey and not the destination. The journey is where you find yourself, your happiness, and your successes. The destination is just an added bonus.
Shinning is a state of existence that occurs when your passion and purpose are in alignment. You exude confidence, swag, tenacity, unstoppable mentality, individuality -- all while remaining humble and thankful for all that you are, and will become. You're a leader and many admire you. Keep shinning and spreading positivity and the same will continue to return to you. #therealvisarose
Whilst these are labelled as coping strategies for anxiety and depression they are good coping strategies for general use.
I will share mine with you.
I ask the question
Is it in your control?
Yes .. then get active
What do you want to achieve and what steps do you need to get there?
No.. then park it to one side until the situation or something changes that moves it into something you can control.

Is the Mindset you have going to be an obstacle in the way or is it going to be a stepping stone?
The great part about it is, it's your decision. If your mindset has been a block before it doesn't have to be anymore. Life has obstacles. Let your mindset be the bridge across them. Control what things you can and put forth a mindset that projects what you want to be. Don't let it cater to the negative. You're too great for that. It's your life, your happiness! Happy Monday everybody!
