Always remember how unique you are and that you are nothing but extraordinary. Some days we might feel like we are not special; however, always remember that there is no one that has ever been, is or will be like you. Embrace your uniqueness and celebrate how special you are!
Will I post several pictures of the sky? Yes. I think it is beautiful and inspiring. It is peaceful and show that Earth is still living and that there is always a way to achieve everything. The sky is infinite. Like all the possibilities that offer to us, all the choices and all the chances. -
Long yogi post alert!
I believe as yoga teachers, many of us wonder if we're worthy enough to be the carriers of such important messages. We wonder if were even doing a good enough job applying these concepts in our own lives to be teaching it to others (at least I know I do). We seek perfection, all while telling our students to do the opposite.
For years I've been telling my students to explore their edge. To push, to explore, and to find out what the next level of themselves looks like. And sometimes I wonder if I'm even listening to myself. This summer I started running, and anytime I came to about a mile and a half I'd start to panic. Id tell myself all sorts of horrible things about how I was incapable, how I wasn't meant for running, how slow I was, how I probably looked funny. I'd let my reactions to physical sensation define me and decide for me if my experience was bad or good. Then I would stop running. Then day, I pulled my head out of my ass and realized this is exactly the part where I tell my students to stay in the posture and find out what happens next.
Here's what happened next: first of all, I didn't die. I ran further. I felt my breath better than I had in months. The lake looked beautiful. I noticed a fox running by. The pavement pounded against my feet. I observed my body without letting my reactions make the experience good or bad. And then I ran further than I ever have in my life without stopping. And I found out what the next level of myself looked like today 🏃♀️❤️☮️ #yogaforthewin#yogateacher#heightenedawareness#running#asana#fitnessmotivation#fitness#zen#possibilities#5k
I once read that the thorns are there to protect the rose until it is ready to bloom.
Sometimes in life on our journey to becoming our true selves we experience some thorny moments. Each and every one of those thorny moments serve a purpose.
These roses are from our garden. I starting paying attention to the roses earlier in the year going and talking and being with the roses. Some of them have bloomed in threes.
I have learnt so much from our roses.
Whatever you pay attention to grows.
When you open your heart to love, it comes back threefold.

Never say that you can't do something, or that something seems impossible, or that something can't be done, no matter how discouraging or harrowing it may be; human beings are limited only by what we allow ourselves to be limited by: our own minds. We are each the masters of our own reality; when we become self-aware to this: absolutely anything in the world is possible.
Master yourself, and become king of the world around you. Let no odds, chastisement, exile, doubt, fear, or ANY mental virii prevent you from accomplishing your dreams. Never be a victim of life; be it's conqueror. ~Mike Norton
For with God, all things are possible. You can do the impossible, move the unmovable and change the unchangeable, when God is working in you, through you and for you.
