❌ This morning I caught myself saying something I absolutely did not believe, and it had me wondering how much of what I say, is because it's what I feel others will relate to or want to hear.
I commented that I was at the session because I had to be in a bikinis in 5 weeks and that I had I step up my game. Which honestly, is a load of rubbish.
As it came out of my mouth, I knew it was rubbish... and yet, for some reason, in society, I feel there's this expectation of exercise being something we do because we hate our bodies... not because we love them.
I hear it come out of people's mouths over and over again - "I should be doing this" "I need to do that".. rather than, "I love doing this" and "I want to do that"...
So honestly - I wasn't there this morning to be bikini ready...
I train because I love it, because it feels amazing to sweat and move my body, because I'm doing something good for my physical, mental and emotional health and because I get to do it with an awesome team who support each other and seriously take on life. #fitfam 💪

TGIF! Killller shoulder workout today and 20 mins of 40/30 HIIT jump rope at the end. I was drenched in sweat while others looked dry like the Sahara! I wished I filmed my jump rope HIIT...I can't believe I did that...must be the pre-workout and tech-house music in my ears, ha!

Came home, had a protein shake, ate some chicken and was hungry again in an hour!!! So I whipped up chicken and cheese #enchiladas. This should tame this, #alwayshungry chica!

Bit of a rubbish photo but it was hard to make this look pretty on the plate 💁🏽 tonight's post workout dinner was low carb salmon fish cakes with prawns, salad and tartare sauce 🐟 omg sooo yummy and super quick and cheap! Blend 1 egg, dash of extra virgin olive oil, 70g butternut squash, 50g courgette, bit of fresh ginger, 1 clove fresh garlic, some coriander, salt, pepper and garlic powder, mix with a tin of salmon (don't blend the salmon or it turns to mush) fry for 5 mins each side 😋 I cooked the butternut squash in the microwave for a minute which was a mistake, I think it made the mixture too watery so don't do that if you make it. you live and you learn 🙂 #postworkoutmeal #salmonfishcakes #lowcarb #healthyfood #oilyfish #tartaresauce #fishfriday #fishcakes #highprotein #protein #gains #healthyfats #mealideas #healthyrecipes #nutrition #homecooking #prawns #yummy #delicious #eatclean #cleaneating #omega3

We also had some macarons (green tea & salted caramel) but we forgot to take a pic before we dug in. They were delicious but I guess you just have to take my word for it.

Breakfast burrito makinnnn time 🙌🏽 sauté red onion, red bell pepper, zucchini, and spinach in EVOO and season with salt/pepper/garlic powder and red crushed pepper as desired. Once the veggies have cooked through I tossed in some amazing chicken sausage from @truestoryfoods and lastly I added the very best @vitalfarms eggs - throw all this goodness in a whole grain tortilla and chow down! You're welcome 😘💁🏽 .

Goji Berry and Beet Salad accompanied with a small dish of curry fermented cabbage. After I eat this, I will have more food 🥘. Coming up I'll be posting my ancient grain egg omelet. I eat at the most three eggs a week. Why throw the yolk, if it is in it where we find all its nutrients? My main course, is this this gigantic salad right here. My homemade vinaigrette is simply: 2 tbp olive oil, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of mustard, red cayenne  pepper, cinnamon and 1 tbp of apple vinaigrette. Try it and you will see your energy soar through the roof, like Popeyes's! Did you know one lb of spinach contains MORE PROTEIN than 1 lb of meat? Yep. So, don't portion your salads, and forget counting calories. Have fun with your salad bowls, test different flavors. Gojj berries add a good tart sweet flavor to the salads!
