My first home made of cream and I'm so proud!! Can't wait to make new recipes that have less sugar 😋 ✨Collagen Blackberry Chocolate Chip Ice Chip 🍦🍦
2 pints fresh blackberries
1 1/4 cups sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 1/2 cups half-and-half
5 @vitalfarms egg yolks
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
4 ounces of your favorite @eatingevolved chocolate I used midnight coconut because it has no sugar
1 scoop @furtherfood ✨
Combine the blackberries, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the lemon juice in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until the blackberries are broken down and syrupy, about 20 minutes.
Pour the mixture into a bowl through a fine mesh strainer. Using a whisk or spoon, force out as much of the deep purple liquid as you can, and then set it aside to cool. Discard the blackberry pulp and seeds.
Heat the half-and-half and remaining 1 cup sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
Using a whisk, beat the egg yolks until pale and thick. Temper the eggs by splashing a small amount of the warm cream into the yolks, whisking constantly. Pour the tempered yolks into the saucepan, stirring gently. Cook over medium-low heat until thick, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes.
Pour the heavy cream into the bowl with the berries, and then pour in the custard and stir to combine and add in your scoop of Collagen. If you have time, refrigerate this mixture until cool.
Freeze the mixture according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
When it is frozen, chop the chocolate into chunks and stir into the ice cream.
Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and allow it to harden for several hours or overnight.
My girls always see me mixing "potions" so I thought I'd help them make their own! This was so fun and they played for hours!
What you'll need:
Assorted containers, spoons & droppers
Coloring (I used tumeric, chlorella and beer root powders)
What to do:
Mix a 1/2 tsp of colored powders with water in empty bottles or use food coloring. Let them pour, drop and mix as desired. Then for extra fun you can add vinegar and baking soda to make the concoctions fizz up! Let them experiment with different amounts, just know that the more you add the more it fizzes so it may bubble over. We used a lot of towels, haha! You could also do it inside of a plastic tub to keep it from going everywhere. #salvagelifekids#salvagelifeathome
Beloved aster. For years I have been brewing my own herbal remedies for personal use and sharing with friends along my travels. Various flowers, herbs and trees come into visions and dreamtime calling me to more intimately know and remember or are obvious in their drawing to work with them when I arrive to a land. I am excited to reveal I will be opening my online apothecary
'Bone ala Moon' to all of you in November this year. Thoughtfully wild harvested.
While afternoon, in my green velvet robe and moccasins, I gathered these abundant beautiful asters living among the sagebrush. Cedar soaked up the sunshine lying near, upon the rosy clay dirt. Red tail hawk made circles above us and the mountains held the scene in reverence. I said many times, Thank you, to the sky who was listening, as this is what I asked for.
I think I'm still part of the Harry Potter generation - those who were young enough to read the books as they were published. Still remains one of my favorite series, not to mention the sheer amount of worldbuilding that fans can still play around with.
Just for fun, I ordered a bunch of cauldron charms from a jewelry store and made my own potions necklace. I think I'd like potions if I were ever at Hogwarts. 😁

Byeee. Be back in a minute, ATX. Life is not the same without this little love bug. •
One of my favorite lines, from one of my favorite movies, with some of my favorite actors. Who knows my favorite movie?
Harry Potter Series cocktail 4 of 7: Sev’s Potion “I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses. . . I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death — if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach.” –Severus Snape
Snape. Enough said.
