R I S K // There is risk in almost everything we do. Every decision is calculated and things may not turn out as you planned. You may live in discomfort, you may loose or fail, you may also succeed or accomplish. What I’m drawing my focus towards is Trust. Trust that each risk I take is meant to be taken. That there is always an opportunity to learn, grow, and love. Trust that in the end I have my own back and wether success or failure, I will be there to experience it fully. @junction_9 🖤
I've never cared much for mediocrity. What thrill and excitement can be found in the ordinary? I want to push the boundaries. I want to exceed existing expectations. I want to challenge the way things have traditionally been done.
All great and powerful movements in history came about when individuals made an active decision to challenge the status quo: do you think they settled for mediocrity?
Way back. Back in time. #TBT y'all! Meet lil Jessi Stone. This cheese monster started early finding ways to make people smile. Hang with her nowadays, and you'll find that hasn't changed. Life's too short to be so serious! We agree with Mini-Jessi.
Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. 🔥⠀
Talking about FINDING YOUR PASSION on the blog today. In therapy I work with people on discovering their passion. Often our society puts pressure on us to decide exactly what we are doing with our lives at a young age...but its not usually that easy. It's ok to take your time and figure your passion out. We need experiences, interactions, adventures, and trial and error before we can even begin to identify what sets our soul on fire. ⠀
The biggest thing I've learned over the years is that our passions evolve. Currently, the combination of mental health and yoga are my passion. What's yours?
Strength and Flexibility
I’ve been obsessed with flexibility since I was little. As a little dancer and gymnast, splits were my jam. “Mommy, look!” I would shout as I proudly bounced into position in the living room, the park, the backyard, the front yard, the grocery, church...
Cartwheels, high kicks, developés...all were signs to me of my success.
Flexibility is beautiful and essential in moving my body. But there is something I forget, that I fear. And it’s Strength.
Strength carries a connotation of masculinity, of power, of too-muchness. I have always been afraid of my own strength. I fear losing grace, beauty, femininity, gentleness.
But are they enemies? Do we have to sacrifice one for the other?
I’m beginning to learn that strength and flexibility are Sisters. They lock arm in arm and support one another, balancing and giving rise to wholeness.
I’m backing off a bit on pushing flexibility for now so that I can focus on strength. I’m not laying her down...just opening up space in my heart and mind and body to allow for strength to unfold.
What would happen if I wasn’t afraid of my own strength? What if my own power wasn’t something to retreat from?
Yoga is a way in. I have no idea what’s in front of me. All I can do is be honest and be present, come what may.
Love and peace to your path, loves. Namaste. ❤️🙏🏼
⚡️Have you heard of the Blue Zone lifestyle?⚡️ A study was done on the different parts of the world where the longest living people resided. They learned their diets, activity levels, social patterns, and what kept them happy. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Let's live long, meaningful lives 🙌🏽
I didn't have any practice rooms booked at the conservatory anymore, so now I'm back home to continue practising in my comfy giraffe socks 🌝
A question: how many of you play violin in high heels on a regular basis? I'm qurious!
You know that feeling when you're making a project happen, and you get completely absorbed and have to sort all the aspects of it, including the slightly less glamorous sides like risk assessments and marketing plan - well, I feel that's the moment when these little prompts become handy. #bobandrobertasmith#folkestonetriennial
Normally my mood as the week goes by ➡️ thank goodness it's almost Friday • Forward Fold || Benefits: Stretches hamstrings, spine, & neck || For this pose your body has to be relaxed to avoid any strains; I'm definitely relaxed - after a long week, all I want to do is lay around & relax. Ready for the weekend 👊🏻

Happy Thursday guys! Without patience we will learn less in life. God has perfect timing (even though sometimes it seems like his clock isn't working lol😂) never early, never late. It takes a little patience and a lot of faith, but whatever you are being patent for is worth the wait.🌱🍃🌳
