I've been working my ass off in order to get ready for stage at least once for this year, but there is always something accidental and unpredictable, which I can do nothing for it. That's why we're always encouraged to say the progress is more important than the result, because you can't control the result, you can only choose to work harder and harder. My plan is still action like I'm on prep, always be ready to go on. Here we go again , so I got called out by @brackeensav for doing a contest. Loser had to eat 20 pieces of toilet paper. What are the conditions? We are both training for the stingrey classic 2018 in April. Results are based off of score cards. Now I will admit there’s a high chance I will and can lose especially due to our circumstances. So I figured two things, one regardless of the circumstances I can quit or keep moving forward. So I decided well I’m not quitting and two there really wasn’t a second thing I just thought there was. But I figured I’d document this one all the way through for my own records. 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼THIS, this is a 235lb failure... and guess what? I’m okay with that. This is proof of how far I’ve come. This is proof that the grind never stops no matter the obstacles or schedules. Last week I hit 215 and was STOKED! The goal is 2 plates before Christmas (and making it look pretty). I may have failed out on this one, but I’ve got a feel for the weight now (why I’m just standing there with it resting on my shoulders) and it ain’t so damn heavy. Next week I’m pushing this shit for real.
This is the woman who used to squat on the smith machine 25 lbs, to hitting a PR last winter of 145, to 145 being my warm up weight today.
Moral of this story: Motivate your damn self. Don’t rely on anything but you because once you’re under the bar, the weights on your shoulders and you’re GONNA pick it up.
The next time I step on stage I will be #undeniable . The last two shows I competed in I looked the absolute best I have ever looked, but I know with a proper improvement season I will hit that national stage and it will be undeniable that i belong up there. Monday’s Are for dominating your legs and workout!! Today I hit a #pr for my squats and finished off with some #hiit exercises at the end to keep my blood pumping!! When you have the energy push yourself till you can’t anymore add another set, rep, and weights and keep going till it burns 😅!! Then immediately go to the next exercise 🔥!! Most importantly though have fun if you are dreading going to the gym everyday switch it up and incorporate what you enjoy doing!! OKkkkk Monday y’all Let’s Get It 💪🏾❤️
