Honest selfie: this isn't meant to be cute. If you are like me and spent a lot of time tanning when you were younger, go to the dermatologist regularly just to be safe. If you don't have health insurance, do self checks monthly. Just like breast exams, skin checks are important. Two weeks ago in a state of utter panic and paranoia I convinced myself through webmd (you know the drill) that I *could* have fast growing melanoma. The doctor called today, and I don't. I'm in the clear. I'm a high risk person for a few reasons, in no small part because I disregarded good advice and science as a teenager and insisted on frying myself like a piece of bacon. I wear a hat all the time and try to avoid sun quite a bit. I observe (read: obsess over) my moles and try to remember the abcde rules (though some forms of melanoma don't follow the rules, be aware). I don't lay out in direct sun anymore, though I did sit by the pool today for about 45 minutes. Mostly I felt sweaty and weird, and was still worried about a call back from my doctor as well as nursing the small wound that will turn into a small scar. Anyway, take care of that skin of yours! Don't be afraid to get checked even though it's nerve wracking. Before we can and should focus on the surrounding muscles to improve the force closure of the SI joint, we first need to make sure we're moving well. Movement should almost always be our first check for any type of pain.
When I first developed pain, I began thinking, what's changed? I had lost touch with my consistency in strength training and my morning mobility routine. So first things first, start moving.

Eating well when you go out to eat is a real challenge!
That's why I rarely do it.
When I do, there are a few things that I always bring with me:
PINK HIMALAYAN SEA SALT - If you didn't know, table salt is one of the most common, highly processed things we eat on a daily basis. It is devoid of essential minerals that your body needs.
