Been doing some super simple goal setting this month and it's been amazing what it's done for my stress and ability to be productive. I know it's better to write out full goals, but right now with all I have going on, just having one word a day that is my overarching goal is helping me feel successful. Most days I do much more, but knowing each day I've carved out some time to give that little extra something something to important parts of my life is feeling great. Keeping it real now...My focus this year is not resolution based. Staying healthy and keeping fit is always my go to. Wellness matters . if you did decide on a few resolutions and have waivered , as its already mid January, not to fret. The year is still new. Resolutions can set you up for failure especially if its an old habit. Those are the worst to break. I still talk too much and don't take enough time for myself, but I can live with that. But losing weight and eating healthy for your health is something we all need to be mindful of. Your day will not always go according to plan. This afternoon I had planned to record episodes for the podcast, send emails, respond to clients, and get a cardio workout in.
Instead, this chick decided it would be fun to run out the front door when I got home, into a busy street with cars zooming in each direction. I had to chase her for 10 minutes until a nice gentleman got out of his car to help me. Bless that man 100 times over.
Then I had to crate her and punish her, compose myself after a little bit of hysteria, and give her a bath, blow her dry and brush her. A solid 2 hours out the window.
Life isn’t always going to go according to plan. You have to be flexible and roll with whatever god gives you that day. Maybe this was a sign I need to slow down a little bit and be more present. Either way, I’m just so grateful this snothead is safe, alive, and healthy. Those other things can wait.
Prioritizing your health and wellness is more important now than ever before.
The “American diet” created by the lowest bidder, with the cheapest processes now ends up with the loudest voice.
“Food” these days has become so dangerous- laden with pesticides and made with ingredients unpronounceable and unidentifiable.
Processed, dangerous foods are more cheaply available than natural food.
Why is that?
This way of eating may be affordable on the front end - but it makes you sick. It makes you weak.
It makes you controllable.
Which keeps you returning for more of the same.
The definition of insanity.
And you feel like shit. And you look like shit. And you don’t feel like doing shit.
But - megafood corp is happy - more marketing money! So is your doctor, and the huge glorious medical industrial complex - more than happy to take your money, and your families money.
You can make yourself and your health a priority.
Reinvent yourself from the bottom up - and put your health and wellness before all other “wants and needs”.
Invest the your hard earned time and money on the front end - on your health and wellness.
Take back control of your life and stop following the status quo.
You got one shot at this life. Make the right choices first. We can help.
Take life as it comes and embrace the lessons. .
They are there for you to learn and to move pass the obstacles. .
The harder you work for something, the greater you will feel when you achieve it!

Sometimes you NEED to put yourself first. How can you be the best mother you can for your children if your not the best version of YOU?
Take some time today to improve a part of you. Workout for 20 minutes. Pick up a self improvement book. Do some yoga. Eat a big healthy, raw, salad.
Some things can wait. A journey to a better you cannot.
I had a really rough past couple of days. In the midst of feeling discouraged and wanting to give up, I was asked “so how are you going to fight back?”. That question reminded me that I promised 2018 would be my opportunity to prove to myself that I can achieve any intention I set my mind to because I matter - my well being, my worth, my growth, & my goals all matter. By “fighting back”, I kick away the doubt, negative energy, and people/things without my best interest in order to manifest my personal victory. I choose to win because I refuse to lose. •
Learn how to show up for yourself in a way that no one else can. Because if you don’t fight for yourself, who else will?

NB: Find a micro moment in your day to check up on your parents, facetime that close friend who moved overseas, organise a coffee with the friends you've been 'meaning' to catch up with, reach out to the colleague who mentioned they wanted to get active the last time you spoke, check if your sibling needs a hand with anything, set some time aside on the weekend to visit family you haven't seen in months, vibe with those who have the same interests as you, send a small thankyou gift to that person who did you a small favour 💫

So yeah, it’s #January 15th (almost 16th), and I’m finally getting around to #resolutions for #2018 . Why? Because I needed to think. #Pray . #Prioritize . How did last year go? What do I want to see go better? How is that going to happen? I won’t give you a rundown of 2017, because in many ways I’m forgetting what lies behind. So here’s what I’ve narrowed my focus down to: 1) Spiritual: time to focus a LOT more time and attention to my walk with God, and my #devotion time. It’s so easy to just ‘get it in’ each day, but I want to really sit and wait, #pray , and above all, #LISTEN . I need to recalibrate in so many ways, and here is where it starts. 2) #Writing : holy cow do I ever need to be better in this area! Last year I wanted to, and felt like I was supposed to. I’ve got half a #journal with post topics for my #blog , not to mention 1/3 of my next #book written. So what happened? I just simply didn’t do it. Put it off with one excuse or another, all the while getting more frustrated, because as a #writer , I NEED to get those words out of my brain and out of my heart and on paper. And maybe even share them. So get ready for blog and book spam, y’all. 😉 3) Physical: last year it was like 2 steps forward, 3 backward all year and I felt like giving up. In a lot of ways I did. But I’m done with that. You don’t get better and stronger by giving up, so today is Day 1, and tomorrow is day 2, and so on and so forth. I’m ready, and I’ve got a great support system so it. is. on. 4) #Business : this is the hardest one for me. I’ve worked on cultivating my #crochet business for almost a decade. And I absolutely love it. But my hands are starting to protest the massive influx of orders from time to time, so I have to figure out what that means for #OliJ . In the meantime, I probably haven’t mentioned it formally, but did you know I sell #doTerra ? I bet not. I mean, I talk about it all the time but unless asked, haven’t actually told people that I’m selling it. With so much up in the air with my crochet business, I will be turning more focus to this area of my “business” life. And I’m excited! • Exactly what am I saying with all this?
2018 is going to be a great year. ❤️
I wish I could feel this “put-together” on the inside. Truth is, I’ve been doing so much for everyone else, that I forget to put my needs first. I said I wouldn’t make a New Year resolution, but if I can make one change, it’s to take care of myself, first. As I spent the weekend here with my boys,I'm thinking how truely Blessed Iam despite my situation, God did some incredible healing in my heart. ❤I came into this a couple of years ago with symptoms of PTSD (My buddy and my mentor know this to be true). I came in like a wounded puppy. 🐕

I truly love my 8-5, my nanny baby is almost 9 months old and he’s such a pleasant baby. I got 40 items photographed this morning while he named, listed twenty items and did a quick weight workout during his second nap, and I’ll do core exercises during his last nap.
