James Christopher's beautiful herd of Nguni cattle were watching over us this morning as we did our morning rounds.
Nguni cattle are a hardy species native to South Africa and play very important social and economic role in the Zulu people's culture. They are still often used as a dowry ("lobola") for a bride.
Those of you who have been recipients of our Posies will have received our signature Posy Food too 💗 The Posy Food comes with every Posy and is designed to keep your Posy looking fresh and lovely. Having a barn celebration doesn't always mean rustic. Gone are the days of burlap and lace. This Texas styled shoot with cacti, antlers, and protea (one of our personal faves) provides the perfect example of adding a southwestern touch to a rustic venue. I’m Pro protea! I love all varieties and could just sell stems of protea all year long. Looks great in a tall vase or a small vase. Depending on the variety just 1, 2 or 3 stems is enough to look like you carefully curated that little piece. If you don’t believe me open any design magazine. You’ll see... if you’re not Pro protea you need to get on this funky little train because they’re awesome!
