With Ballerinas having Tutu Tuesday, the Ballerinos can have Tights Tuesday! This little clip was taken behind the scenes of the photoshoot I did with @blochau as their newest ambassador on the @atqpac Playhouse Stage. Can't wait to see the final products ✌🏻#TightsTuesday
I'm incredibly honoured to be a Bloch Ambassador as they become Queensland Ballet's official pointe shoe partner. Thank you for welcoming me to the wonderful @blochau family. I got my first pair of Bloch pointe shoes 26 years ago and have been dancing with them ever since. As the last 5 weeks of @kinkybootsoz begins I am reminded again how rapidly things change when a show finishes. You create some awesome relationships with people and spend everyday with them practically and then suddenly it's all done and dusted! My brain is going 👉🤔 "plan things, make to do lists, concentrate on the next chapter" BUT I am making a conscious effort to just surrender and enjoy every last moment with these incredible humans and again so grateful for the life changing year I've had with my @kinkybootsoz family.
On the couch this weekend: behind the scenes of @kinkybootsoz in the latest issue of Story by @atqpac. This issue keeps up the tradition of thought-provoking articles that celebrate our creative community. And the best part? It's a free read! Pick up a copy when you're out grabbing coffee.
So, after being blown away by @kinkybootsoz tonight I briefly got to meet lead Callum Francis after the show! His Lola stole my heart and is the type of person every human should aspire to be. Strong and unapologetic with a zest for life (and fabulously fierce AF) and yet with vulnerabilities that are humbling and a perseverance through adversity that is bloody inspiring. I didn't know going in if anyone could compare to Chiwetel Ejiofor (Lola in the movie) but Callum way beyond did Lola justice and made her even more spectacular than she already was (I so badly want a friend like her). Shows like this are why I love live theatre. Just the right amount of fun, heart and relevant social messages and it not only paid homage to the movie, it gave the whole story more depth. Well done to everyone involved in this outstanding production! You should all be so proud!
