Not a sight you see every day, but even echidnas need to cool off in the tropical #Queensland weather. It certainly looks like this little guy is enjoying the warm breeze and sea views off the Cape Kimberley coast in the #Daintree .
Eventually all the pieces fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason ❤️
This time last year, I was probably in the worst state of mind of my life – I had left a life I absolutely loved in Australia to come back ‘home’ to England; it felt more like I was leaving a happy home and somewhere I felt so content to come to a foreign country I felt alien in ☹️ I came back lost, confused and with no idea what to do with my life... 2016 was a struggle to say the least, but with time, patience, hard work, a few jumps into the unknown, and a whole ton of optimism when things were looking bleak, 2017 is shaping up to be the best year yet (and this time last year, I definitely didn’t think I’d be saying that!) 💙
In just over two weeks, not only will we be back home in Cairns, Australia; but this week, I accepted an incredible job that couldn’t be more perfect for me... and, a job, that in all honesty, I never would have got if life hadn’t led me back to England! I keep having to pinch myself that this is all real, because it still hasn’t quite sunken in yet (despite our empty apartment)! Excited is an understatement!
Sometimes, life leads us on some funny journeys that we don’t understand at the time; but follow your dreams; never give up hope; and, have faith that you’re on the right path to where you’re supposed to be when times are rough ⭐️💕

A tiny baby Asian House Gecko found in our hotel room in Australia a few weeks ago. This species is unfortunately invasive in the area. But, they eat bugs so I have no problem with a resident gecko in my room!
