Thank you everyone for all your love and support this year!
After a bit of a rough 2016 (everyone wear your sunscreen), I am so thankful for all of the blessings this year has brought and head into 2018 excited for all that's to come. I've got some exciting stuff in the works which none of would have been possible without the love and support of this amazing community, thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me on these quilty adventures 🙏
The year isn't over yet though! I'm hoping to have some huge news to share once it's finalized along with an awesome giveaway and some big year end finishes 🙆♂️ Swipe to see my favorite video and 📸 of 🐶 Diane Keaton from this year along with last year's best nine 💕
Happy Tuesday everybody! 😄💕 #bestnine2017
I've been trying to create more space in my life for learning new things and also, inevitably, space for failure as well. I know that if I create anything new or exciting it is only because I have given myself grace to make the mistakes and time to make messes that end up in the trash. What brings me the most joy and peace on the days when all of the work gets scrubbed out or deleted, is knowing that I am just as whole and valued as the days when I make beautifully successful designs. ❤️
This is my #bestnine and my favorite nine of the last six months. Huge thanks to everyone for liking my work, giving nice comments and being so supportive ❤️ #quilt#quilting#tilkkutyö
Here are my hand quilting supplies and progress on my Spring Sampler Quilt. With so many other sewing projects and quilt projects in progress, it's hard to sit down with this massive quilt and get any work done on it. But when I do, it is so relaxing. Meditative.
Maybe if you look closely you see that the drawn on quilting lines are very dark. This is probably because, I drew them at night, in poor light. A big no no obviously. Now, I will definitely have to wash it before showing it, which I don't always do.
And this will mean that it will take me a few washes to get those dark pencil markings out.
I rarely do any hand quilting or quilt prep at night. I don't know why I decided then to do so! So frustrating!
