....My milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard.....Ok, so maybe not the boys, but my friends sure pay a visit when these are on the menu! ADULT MILKSHAKES - aka #ramosginfizz 🥛🥛
📸 + recipe @ohsobeautifulpaper 👏
Gin | Cream | Lemon Juice | Lime Juice | Simple Syrup | Orange Blossom Water | Egg White | Soda Water
Made a Ramos Gin Fizz at home (with a touch of yellow chartreuse) because @aphonik made a joke about ordering a round of them for the house at Tooker Alley and strangely that gave me a craving for one. PS I'm still berlincocktails because the best suggestions I have so far are "Hoochmonkey" and "Joe Pisco-po", thx @jefgore . ½ oz 2:1 simple syrup, ½ oz lime, ½ oz lemon, scant dash yellow chartreuse, several drops orange flower water, 2 oz Sipsmith gin, egg white. Dry shake until it hurts, add one ice cube, shake until forearm goes numb, add 1 oz heavy cream, shake just to combine. Pour (don't strain) into collins glass, top with a few more drops flower water, put in freezer for a couple mins while it separates. Put bar spoon in center (disrupting head as little as possible), pour club soda along handle until head peaks over glass.
Absolutely LOVE making a Ramos Gin Fizz
History behind this cocktail is to traditionally shake it for 12-20 minutes to create that big head of foam.
Personally, I dont mind because I love this classic that much.
We're feeling brave tonight, so we threw some of our house #cucumber liqueur into the classic #ramosginfizz mix and created a masterpiece. There's only two catches: you can only get one of these at the bar, and it takes us 8-10 minutes to craft, so fight for a seat and get ready to wait in line! Cheers!
It's a good night for #ginfizz , and I haven't whipped one of these up in quite some time, but the addition of our house #cucumber liqueur is a delightfully light and refreshing twist on this classic pain in the ass cocktail. If you want one of these, come sit at my bar tonight. Can't get them if you sit at a table, so be ready to wait your turn. Cheers!
