Arming myself with the tools I need to successfully eat 100% Raw Vegan in the upcoming Michigan Winter. I ate 100% raw for 6 months and when the weather got cold, that's when I fell off last time and started eating cooked foods again.
I am determined to stick with this way of eating, because I'm feeling so amazing. I was watching Kat Green on YouTube and this was her little recipe for Hot Cocoa in her "15 Tips - How to Stay Raw Vegan in Cold Climate Winters. I will post the simple recipe in the comments below. 😊☀️🍃💖
If it swims, crawls, flies, slithers, hops, burrows, digs, walks, runs, or poops...don't eat it. It is a living creature that is not here just to feed you.
It has a reason to be here on this planet just like we do and deserves to be left alone.
Just as it would seem wrong to eat a dog or cat because they have been domesticated or are so cute, all other creatures on this planet want to live their lives out, they have families, and they don't want to die just to feed you.
There are so many other amazing foods to eat. We don't ever have to eat animals because we have an abundance of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole grains, and starches which will satisfy all our nutritional needs.
If we eat animals, we run the risk of dying from one of the top 15 of 16 human killers on this planet, especially chronic diseases like heart attack, stroke, cancer, and type 2 Diabetes.
Not eating anything that poops will ensure we wind up healthier, we will live longer, we will have less chance of dying from a chronic disease, we can reverse the diseases we already have, we are promoting more peace, and we are helping our planet. A win for the animals is a win for everyone on Earth.
Be compassionate. Go vegan!

Gooood morning 🌞 I've been seeing sweet potato smoothies a lot these days, so I thought I'd give it a try! I used roasted and then frozen sweet potato, frozen banana, almond milk, flax and a spoonful of coconut cream for a thicker consistency. Topped with blueberries, almonds and my mint chocolate truffle balls! Ive been teasing you guys lots on my stories, here's the recipe! 👀
1 cup dates
1.5 cups walnuts
1/2 cup cashews
1/4 to 1/3 cup cacao, depending on how rich you want them to be
2 TBSP flaxseeds
3 TBSP peanut butter
1 1/2 TBSP coconut cream
Several drops of mint extract
Blend dates up until smooth and creamy, then set aside. Pulse walnuts and cashews in your food processor until they're mealy. Add cacao and flax and pulse again. Add the peanut butter, coconut cream, dates and mint extract and blend until doughy. Roll into balls and keep in refrigerator for 5-7 days 💫

tbh, i don't like smoothies very much. i've veered away from them instinctively, i realise; i haven't made a smoothie in ages and i prefer 🍌banana ice cream🍦. i meant to have this smoothie for lunch, but though it was definitely filling (thx hemphearts!) i wasn't satisfied after drinking it 🙁. hmmn. whilst smoothies are delicious, i find that they don't satisfy me, and that's okay because everyone is different. tl;dr i'm not the world's biggest fan of smoothies for meals. sorry for Le Ramble. -
ANYWAYS in this smoothie i put:

2c frozen organic mixed berries 🍓(@earthboundfarm from @costco )
1.5 frozen nanas🍌
3tbs hemp hearts 🌿
1/4tsp spirulina 🌲
and i topped it off with some frozen cherries 🍒❄️
Baked fries covered in curry powder, and veggies and quinoa 🤗💚relaxing Sunday night watching mind-opening stuff on @wearegaia which is basically Netflix but instead it is full of conscious media about spiritual growth, consciousness expansion, alternative health, metaphysics, conspiracies etc etc, such a gold mine of knowledge 😊✌🏽

I am didn't eat completely raw the last 3 days but not a reason to quit. Due to stress I really ate a lot of shit from Thursday onwards. I feel how my body feels shitty when I eat trash and too many sweets. Cannot sleep well, my skin is turning red and dry, stomachache and headache. Realizing how I feel when I eat healthy brings me back on track. So each little step counts.
Would you choose this stall or vegan junk food? 🙈 Yesterday, I was on my way to the Vegan Street Food market in #HackneyDowns when I passed through a market filled with avocados, papayas, mangoes and what not.😍😍😍 by the time I saw the queues and smelt the fried food in Hacnkey Downs I knew the fresh fruit was a better choice and ended up having a spontaneous picnic from the fresh market. When life gives you avocado, make guacamole!

Plant milk add-n-stir to your own perfect texture.
Half gala apple
1 tbs chia seed
1 tbs gogi berries
1 tbs whole almond cream
1/2 tbs pumpkin seeds

fresh air- oxygen helps to make up air, and oxygen is a key element in our blood formation, air is like a nutrient! We can't live without air and I always feel so sluggish after being in enclosed rooms with lack of fresh circulating air, and I need to go outside for fresh air to feel invigorated. When our cells receive enough oxygen our energy levels skyrocket😊
Sunshine- to me sunshine is a stimulant yet also the greatest nervine tonic, nothing makes me feel more relaxed than gentle sunshine on my skin, it is so vital to many body processes especially for vitamin d synthesis 🌞
Fresh water- you're made of water! Majority of vital processes take place in a watery solution and require water in order to take place, need I say more 💦
Exercise- there are too many benefits of exercise to even list, but it is so so much more than weight loss. Your body wants to move, do it for your health and wellbeing 🤸🏻♀️
Fresh plant foods- your diet is either the strongest and most powerful form of medicine, or the slowest form of poison, choose plants 🌱🌱
Adequate sleep, rest and meditation- this is the time for your body to repair, heal and rejuvenate. Give yourself enough time to rest to benefit your mind, body and spirit. Take time to reflect on your thoughts and emotions and meditate to keep your mind and spirit balanced and clear 🤗🌞💚
