Do you find it hard to take 'timeout' to just BE! I REALLY struggle with it! We recently discovered our current home in Ubud hasn't got any spots just to chill, relax & read - new sofa on the way & new hammocks being hung this week - today we decided to embrace Bali more & headed to the beach to do just that #chill#readbooks#drinkcoconutjuice & maybe even a cocktail 🍹the weird thing about of doing this I know I'll have more energy, buzz & inspiration when I get back to focus on work on Monday - what's your favourite timeout activity? ❤️ #beachtime#balilife#femaleentrepreneur#timeout#fengshui
After a long day I have to say that Black Friday is hard for everyone who has to work in retail and food. So props to everyone who worked today and couldn’t stay in like they wanted. Because that’s the truth. Everyone who is forced to work on Black Friday just wants to stay home, watching tv and movies, while stuffing our face with food. That’s why Cyber Monday was invented. 😂
So I noticed a change in my likes today, and I realized that my photos are no longer showing up on the hashtags I'm using. I tried to re-post this one, but it's still not showing up. 😞 Is anyone else having this issue with Instagram?
One of my co-workers asked me what the Raven Cycle series is about it and I was like, "Um, well there's this girl who has a clairvoyant family, and she's always been told that if she kisses her true love then he will die. But it's not really a love story, it's more about friendship and adventure. Like, they're on this quest to find this dead Welsh king. And the trees speak Latin... You get what I'm saying?" Like is there really any simple way to describe this series? 😂 .
I was tagged by the wonderful @spicypages to do the #bookstacam tag! .

"Marriage is a contract that ends with death. Just as love is a contract that ends with love's passing". Love is not eternity for we need to be loved and love constantly. Then why a person chooses to stay alone for a lifetime? 🙃 It's not about freedom or feeling broken. It's just a choice to direct energy elsewhere.
I'm away at a foreign city today for a short break, just a day and a half. Then back to my normal routine and life. So far I have found 3 favorite authors: Paulo Coelho, Morgan Scott Peck, Alain de Botton. All these authors' works remind me that a life needs a purpose, Love is an ordinary thing we all need but it is not the absolute important thing and Growth is painful :).

Now reading!! I never read sci-fi but I love sci-fi movies (and I loved reading Ready Player One), so I’m very excited about this one. I love this long weekend with plenty of time to snuggle up with it. -A
Jasmine Bashara never signed up to be a hero. She just wanted to get rich.
Not crazy, eccentric-billionaire rich, like many of the visitors to her hometown of Artemis, humanity’s first and only lunar colony. Just rich enough to move out of her coffin-sized apartment and eat something better than flavored algae. Rich enough to pay off a debt she’s owed for a long time.
So when a chance at a huge score finally comes her way, Jazz can’t say no. Sure, it requires her to graduate from small-time smuggler to full-on criminal mastermind. And it calls for a particular combination of cunning, technical skills, and large explosions—not to mention sheer brazen swagger. But Jazz has never run into a challenge her intellect can’t handle, and she figures she’s got the ‘swagger’ part down.
The trouble is, engineering the perfect crime is just the start of Jazz’s problems. Because her little heist is about to land her in the middle of a conspiracy for control of Artemis itself.
Trapped between competing forces, pursued by a killer and the law alike, even Jazz has to admit she’s in way over her head. She’ll have to hatch a truly spectacular scheme to have a chance at staying alive and saving her city.
Jazz is no hero, but she is a very good criminal.
That’ll have to do.
Propelled by its heroine’s wisecracking voice, set in a city that’s at once stunningly imagined and intimately familiar, and brimming over with clever problem-solving and heist-y fun, Artemis is another irresistible brew of science, suspense, and humor from #1 bestselling author Andy Weir.
My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent has finally been finished. From the very first chapter Tallent does not shy away from the uncomfortable subjects the novel is about. This book deals with violence, abuse both physically and sexually and this is often quite hard to stomach.
As much as I found many of the details unpleasant, and often didn’t want to read them, I was immediately invested in the main character Turtle and her tragic circumstances that I had to continue reading to find out what happens to her.
For a first time novelist this is an exceptional piece of writing and Tallent’s detailed descriptions of North California are simply stunning. Turtle feels more at one with nature and the outdoors than she does with her circumstances at home. At age six turtle is presented with her first gun and is taught how to survive and look after herself in the surrounding, often inhospitable, landscape. This skill becomes vital to her survival and is tested throughout the novel.
This was a really accomplished debut and I was drawn into the story and characters. I feel quite emotionally exhausted after reading it but it’s definitely a book I’d recommend if you fancy a challenging read.
I haven’t read any reviews yet from critics but I’d really like to read or hear an interview with Tallent to find out more about his inspiration for the novel.
Heyo bookwyrms! This is officially my 100th post on this account :)
🖤Q: What's an underrated book that you think deserves more recognition?
I recently read The Emperor's Blades by Brian Staveley, and it was surprising AWESOME. It has badass warriors and flying beasts and monks and politics and mystery and heartbreaking deaths (IM NOT CRYING YOURE CRYING) and it's sooo good. I'm shocked that more people haven't read it. It's perfect for lovers of high fantasy. (And it's set in the same world as #skullsworn if you've read/heard of it)
Drop A Plot Twist.
Ohhhh, okay! 👍
Don't really know how much i need to reveal a plot twist.
So I'll be vague but, also drop the plot twist. Hehe. Made no sense.⤵
So, my protagonist goes home early after work, mind this her parents are also working too. So, when she gets home & hears her dad, she's all like, okay? Why is he home early. BUT! When she's about to go in his office, she hears something that'll ruin not only her family but also her health.
She just overcame something [which I won't say hehe] & on a better road. Sadly, this secret will consume her completely.
OMO! Don't know if that was a great plot twist. Hope one day, someone will read my book & actually enjoy it.
Have a great afternoon folks! 👍🙋
P.s if you know Jackson & watching his family's daily vlogs you rock 👏👏👏☺🙌😊
