When Charlotte Williams put out a mail-order bride ad, she didn’t expect to receive a response…
The landlord’s abusive and obnoxious son, Peter Wells has become dangerously obsessed with marrying Charlotte. She tries to ignore his advances but after a violent encounter, Charlotte is forced to take drastic action to escape her ill-fated situation. She hopelessly posts an ad with the Mail Order Bride Agency, not expecting a response.
Weeks pass, will her desperate plea be answered?
When a single letter arrives from Rupert Barlow living at a ranch in Texas far, far away Charlotte’s wish comes true and she hastily accepts his invitation to marry. But when Charlotte arrives at the Barlow’s Ranch, she quickly learns that her future husband-to-be, Rupert Barlow wasn’t the one who replied, worse he wants her to leave.
Who sent the letter? Will Charlotte return to her home, to the grip of the abusive Peter Wells? Or might she attempt to woo Rupert’s empty heart instead…? Click here to read the Unwelcomed Bride!
So here it is!! My first ever read apart from academics , actually I was fond of Hindi comics too before this but a proper book!! I read it in 7th standard and got it issued from Library!! And then eventually this was stolen from my bag and I had to pay for this!! 😭 But the funniest part is I met my classmate at a bookstore where he was getting some covering on this!! 😂😂😂😂😂 And next thing next he offered me to have this book all by myself and was apologetic about what he did!! And this has been with me since then!! The only reason I got this issued at first place was its name, "Goosebumps" 😹
My initial reaction when seeing today's prompts of #curses and #bannedbooks was to go with my man #HarryPotter and the #Hogwarts crew. ✨⚡️✨ But that seemed wayyyyyy to easy. So I got creative and decided to feature books that have been banned for licentious, incendiary or offensive language. 🤓📚🤓 I myself have been known to dabble in curse words. Only on special occasions though. A girl can't help it if she finds special in her day to day life 😉🤷🏼♀️😂 What's your favorite banned book??? 📚📚📚 #frenchiefantasyapril#circleofbookishfriends

QOTD - do you keep reading a book you don't like? I always feel like I have to finish so I can at least say I gave it a sporting chance.
This one was just not my cup of tea. It was not nearly enough of a story to turn into a book, and I felt like they really romanticized his death. Maybe it's just my too practical personality but I really hated the whole ordeal.
