I’ve slept for nearly 60% of the last 22 hours and yet, I’m still exhausted. Reading now, but I feel myself starting to drift off and lose my spot. It’s going to be a weekend of cozy reading, #hygge and #rest . I’m not sure why I’m feeling so tired, but I can almost certainly blame #cysticfibrosis . #readingisgoodforyou#slowdays
Another recognition by school kot.. makcik pun tak faham..🤣. Tak silap macam diaorang ni ada target kena baca buku berapa banyak.. bila you dapat this award which you reached yr goal set or you read more than yr goal set gitulah yang makcik faham Adam terangkan😁. Dalam kelas dia berdua dapat cert ni. Makcik kadang heran budak lelaki ni kan.. yang kita tengok dia main games je sampai keluar airmata tapi sekolah okay. Semalam science second highest mark in the class.. but again aku tengok main games je .. adalah sikit dia menerangkan kepada makcik pasal science topics😊. Keep it up pot @the_sky21 love you. #keepreading#readingisgoodforyou#surgeontobe
When I was young I was quite a reader. Quite a nerd actually. I was a librarian in my primary school days and could not wait to go to the library to finish what i have left off. For friends my generation, there was this thing called the bookworm club. Yes, i joined and even went to their event i also bugged my mum to get the whole bookworm gang collection for me. 😂The main character is called Smarty and there is Mimi, Simone and Fat Ani? Rings a bell? 😂 Well those were the days.
When i grew older, studies and work have taken over my time and I realized I tend to read less and less. Because I was majoring in photography I shifted my books to mainly photo books, so alot of pictures and lesser reading. Now with a baby on hand the chances are even slimmer.
Thank God I managed to squeeze out time to go to the library to borrow some books yesterday. Pending the day my hubby is due to go back for work for 12 days, I quickly make my escape for some me time to a cafe with my dear friend @jesstasteoflife and to read a book written by one of my favorite photographer Sally Mann.
Worked at 4:30 am, went out for lunch to try a new vegan restaurant after in Worcester, called @vegannest and it was delicious! Definitely check it out if you're in the area. Came home, napped for two hours, watched some of my fave ladies on YouTube, made dinner, worked out, yup, you read that, worked out! I'm really trying here. Feeling like a straight sloth. Did a @joshrosebrook antioxidant cacao mask! If there was ever a superhero who could just blast this mask out of a wrist thing-y to try and save all of us that have dry, dull, and really in need of firming, replenishing, all that... I would probably get a visit from said superhero, I'd need him to come save me all the time lol 😂👌🏽(but maybe it's just Josh who is the superhero, right!?) Now I'm about to sit down and read the sun and her flowers from Rupi Kaur. I read some of it yesterday and just melted. All in all, I'd say it was a damn good day. Hope everyone else had a really nice day too! 💫 #greenbeauty#joshrosebrook#skincare#skincareroutine#lifestyleblogger#plantbased#greenbeautyblogger#readingisgoodforyou#useyourlibrary#wheredidallthisenergycomefrom#pots#massacusetts#massachusettsvegan#vegansofma#vegansofmass
First book drop by a #travellingbookfairy from Singapore in 2018 while she went out for yummy Italian food in Ho Chi Minh city!
Dexter is Delicious
by Jeff Lindsay
About the book .
Dexter Morgan’s neatly organized life as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police, devoted husband and father, and killer of only those who deserve it is turned upside down by the arrival of his new daughter, Lily Anne. Feeling surprisingly sunny and loving, he’s trying to suppress the influence of his Dark Passenger—the voice inside who guides his homicidal urges. But Dexter is summoned to investigate the disappearance of a seventeen-year-old girl who has been running with a bizarre group of goths who fancy themselves to be vampires. As Dexter gets closer to the truth of what happened to the missing girl, he realizes they are not really vampires, but cannibals. And most disturbing, these people have their eyes on Dexter . . . and their mouths are watering.
A dose of bookish medicine keeps the doctor away - well that's my philosophy anyway!
Twixtmas is one of my favourite times of the year - a space in which to plan for all the adventures ahead. Naturally this also includes bookish goals so I thought I'd start 2018 with the #bookishresolutions tag from @always_need_more_books. Here they are:
🌟Read ten non-fiction books
🌟Read every title in the Bloomsbury Modern Classic Collection (I now have all of these!)
🌟Start a bookish blog
🌟Borrow as many titles as possible from the library (I already use my library significantly but plan to buy fewer books)
🌟Read one classic children's book with Martha a month
🌟Restart my Goodreads account. Come and find me on there under melissar1😊
This tag is open to everyone. It would be great to see what you're planning. I wish you all a Happy New Year & magical 2018!
I just finished the last book I’ll complete for the year 2017! I am so glad that I ended the year with this book by @nataliebanksnovels! This story had just the right amount of love and mystery and I finished it in basically one sitting. (With the exception of the 3 chapters I read last night!) Before I started this book I had ideas of what I thought was going to happen... I was wrong. When I was a quarter through the book, and halfway through the book, I developed new opinions... and I was wrong again! And, when I finally got to that telling part, I had to read it twice just to make sure I knew what was happening! I can’t wait to read your next book, Natalie!! I really enjoyed this book and think a lot of my friends will too! Sooo... get to reading! _______________________________________________________________
