Our Salsa verde (green sauce) is a delicious chunky mixed herb salsa bound with tangy garlic & caper vinaigrette. It tastes soooo good on tender rump steak, alongside crunchy roast potatoes 👌🏻 orders close Thursday to be serving this up next week. 💕
Today as part of my breakfast I had a portion of my "Moist Beetroot Spelt cake" recipe.
Beetroot is a highly nutritious root vegetable, rich in fiber and anti inflammatory and antioxidant compounds. This cake is made using organic whole meal spelt flour what makes it a great source of fiber and essential nutrients.

Vanilla, banana + blueberry chia puddings - gf, sf, cf, df and vegan!
I'm prepping tonight for breakfast tomorrow as we need to be out the door early. And I know if I prepare this, there will be no complaints at the breakfast table.
3 tbsp chia seeds
1 can coconut cream
1 tsp vanilla powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup frozen organic blueberries
2 bananas finely chopped
1 tsp raw honey
Dash of filtered water
Method is ridiculously easy!
Mix chia, coconut cream, vanilla, cinnamon and honey together, adding a dash of water.
Pour into jars halfway, then layer with blueberries and banana, before filling to top, and finally adding a sprinkle of blueberries and a drizzle of honey.
Place in the fridge overnight.
I love experimenting in the kitchen. I've made tomato sauce a few times now but haven't quite got the recipe right.. A client asked me today if I count calories.. I definitely don't and I don't recommend it to my clients. That just adds more stress to our lives! I recommend that we avoid chemicals. Eat more "real" food.. and make as much of it from scratch as you can. But if you don't have time there are some amazing healthier options from health food shops. Just be careful to actually read the ingredients on the back. If it has numbers or weird words you don't understand then I'd try and find a better option. Preservatives and additives are linked to lots of health problems like allergies, asthma, hyperactivity, headaches and even cancer. It's hard to avoid all of them but if we start to notice them then we can start making small changes which will help our health a lot! If you think "it's too expensive" and you or your kids are having any of the above symptoms then weigh up the costs.. is it worth paying a bit more to see if that helps with allergies/asthma etc?
This salad from @wildcanaryeat looks amazing! I can't wait to go back to this place, it was the most inspirational meal I have had in a long time! They have a beautiful edible garden & create the most amazing savoury & sweet treats.✨
Pizza 1: Homemade - whole wheat base, a ton of veggies, my secret pizza sauce, and a cube of Amul cheese.
Pizza 2: Leftovers from Toit - 4 kinds of meat, mozzarella, and not much else.
Now, I'm not saying one is better than the other. Toit has great food, and their pizza is certifiably good. But there's no reason why you can't make a healthier version at home that tastes just as good, and at a fraction of the cost.
We have homemade pizza every few weeks, and those nights are always special. 😍🍕
How good are nut butters?!! I think I love them a little too much... My favourites are smooth hazelnut butter ( goes so well in desserts) and almond butter ( so good straight from the jar 😉.) how gorgeous is this photo from @wholefoodmesnacks ?

Leftovers for lunch today, yummy salad with balsamic and olive oil as dressing... cooked steak on the weber, you can't beat it!
Bring steaks to room temperature, while marinating in chicken salt and soy sauce. Cook turning only ONCE! Let sit for 10 mins before serving. It will be the best steak you've ever had 😆
When you eat crap, which means anything that turns to #sugar , your body produces hormones that make you feel like crap. So why eat crap when you could eat whole, unprocessed, #realfood ? When you make this shift, you will rewire your biology very quickly & get all the signals back in balance so you naturally feel good & crave real food not #junk . 💚 J
