Backstory: there was a bag of organic puffed Kamut at Ralph's on super sale for 69 cents...so these happened. 😝
Middlestory: Kamut is an ancient grain, with a nutrition profile similar to bulgur wheat. It's far more digestible to modern wheat, but it does contain gluten. Kamut is very popular in Italy 🇮🇹, but for some reason it doesn't seem to have taken off in the States.
Frontstory: Make these high-energy krispies for yourself! Here's the easy recipe:
🔹2 cups puffed Kamut (or quinoa, or rice)
🔹1/2 cup nut butter (I used 1/4 cup prepared powdered almond butter + 1/4 cup walnut butter)
🔹1/2 cup sticky sweetener (brown rice syrup / honey )
🔹optional: 1 tsp maca
Directions: mix the but butter with the sweetener until combined. Pour this mix into a bowl with the krisps, berries, and maca. Stir with your hands. Pour mix into an 8 x 8 pan and refrigerate overnight. Cut them up and enjoy!
I like to throw them in the freezer for a cold bite. 💡

SWEET POTATO PURÉE:
✔️2 sweet potatoes, cleaned scrubbed and pierced with fork
✔️2 packets stevia (or sweetener of choice)
✔️cinnamon to taste
◾️Wrap sweet potatoes in tin foil and place in over at 200 for about 1 hour. Pierce with knife to make sure they are cooked thoroughly. Remove, let cool completely and peel off the skin. Cube potatoes and blend in high powered blender or food processor with remaining ingredients.

Hands up who thought I'd gone rogue & used animal products in this?? Nope. All plants, if you haven't given my mushroom & walnut mince a go, you really should it's #quick#delicious#nutritious & #versatile .
I used the same vechamel recipe as posted a little while back.
I sliced 1/2 a lge #eggplant with a mandolin & placed in a bowl of warm salty water to soak while I made the mince.
For the mince: Process 2 lge portobello mushrooms, generous handful of walnuts, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion flakes, 2 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tin of tomatoes, pinch of salt, 1 dessert spoon of maple syrup and 1 dessert spoon of molasses until mince-like texture reached.
Put a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil in the bottom of a casserole dish then add a layer of eggplant slices. Cover with mince and repeat until all used up or dish almost full, the final layer should be eggplant. Top with vechamel sauce and then sprinkle with vegan cheese. Bake in med/high oven for about an hour. If you cover for the first 45-50 mins with aluminium foil, the cheese will melt rather than going weird. Baru selesai beberes, bersih2 bebungaan dihalaman, kemarin dulu (ampe lupa kapan pastinya) beli pupuk 3 karung tp karna kata pedagangnya pupuknya masih baru jd jgn digunakan langsung eeh malah kelupaan, punya bibit daun kari nyempil di pojokan masih lengkap sama polibagnya mau ditanam tp gk punya halaman luas jadi ditanam di pot batu besaaar aja biar dia tumbuh subur. Selesai beberes halaman cuzz pasar lagi, masak dan jam sekarang baru beress.
Sebenarnya dari kemarin lusa kepingin bikin spagetti tp ada aja halangannya jadi hari ini disempetin bikin dah, toping saos sesuai isi kulkas yg cuma ada daging cincang sisa bikin bakso, sosis dan saos bolognese (bener ga sih tulisannya gitu, wkwkwk) yuks aakhh nyuri start dulu makan siang kepagian hahaha 🍝🍝

8月は夏休み特別企画！ 簡単に作れる夏ランチをご紹介します。 【Ingredients】(Makes 2 in Beer Glasses)
food coloring (yellow)
10g unflavored gelatin
2 Tbsp water
700ml ginger ale
3 Tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp lemon juice 【Directions】
1. Mix the yellow food coloring with a small amount water (not listed).
2. Soak the gelatin in the water.
3. Put 100ml of ginger ale and sugar in a pot, heat the mixture and stir well.
4. Once it’s warm, add lemon juice, 2, and 1, stir, and add the rest of the ginger ale.
5. Pour 3/4 of 4 into 2 glasses, and whisk the remaining ginger ale until it’s foamy.
6. Once you have a frothy foam, pour it into the glasses from 5, chill and allow to set in the fridge.
These Merguez Lamb Burgers never last long in this house. This is one of our favorite burger recipes from our website that was submitted but slightly modified based on the ingredients we had on hand. Just mix 1 1/2 lbs of Ground lamb, 3 tablespoons of Merguez Sausage Seasoning, 1 tablespoon of Aleppo Pepper, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, 2 tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the juice of one lemon. Grill to your desire and enjoy!
VEGAN NACHOS 🇪🇸🥑🌶🌮 One of today's FIRE appetizers from lunch with my fave vegan coworkers ❤️❤️ Corn tortilla chips topped with chili beans, tomato, cilantro, avocado, cashew sauce, jalapeños and vegan sour cream.. SPICY AND SOOO GOOD 😍🔥
Okay. I've been in love with bowls lately, and this one is no exception 😍. Oven roasted zucchini and cauliflower with a poached egg and avocado on a bed of quinoa with a lemon tahini dressing on a hot summer night - count me in! Recipe below ❤️
1. Preheat oven to 400. Cut zucchini and cauliflower. Drizzle both with olive oil and garlic powder. Top zucchini with Parmesan if desired. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, flipping the cauliflower halfway.
2. Boil water (or chicken/vegetable stock, if desired). Add quinoa to boiling water and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat.
3. Poach egg to desired firmness.
4. Add tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic powder to a bowl and mix. Add water slowly until sauce reaches desired consistency.
5. Assemble bowl - add quinoa and top with zucchini, cauliflower, egg and avocado. Drizzle sauce on top. Enjoy!
NUTELLA SWIRL ICE CREAM
-2 C. Heavy cream
-1/2 C. Whole milk
-1/2 C. Sugar
-1/2 C. Nutella
-1 T. Vanilla extract
Whisk cream, milk sugar and vanilla in a sauce pan and heat on medium heat until it reaches a temperature of 160 degrees f. About 7 minutes. Once heated strain into a bowl with nutella and stir until thoroughly incorporated. Cool in refrigerator overnight and add to ice cream machine following manufactures instructions. Let frerze and enjoy! 🍨🍦😋

Follow the directions in order, because if you don’t, it will not come out thick and froyo-like and you’ll lose all your hard earned gains. 👨🏻🍳Mixed Berry Smoothie of Greens and Gains (up to 2 servings)
▫️Step 1: 85g of Kale
▫️Step 2: 85g of Raspberries
▫️Step 3: 85g of Blackberries
▫️Step 4: 85g of Blueberries
▫️Step 5: 300 mL of Unsweetened Almond Milk ▫️Step 6: 1.5-2 scoops of Whey Protein (in this case, I use @questnutrition whey because it makes for thicker smoothies)
▫️Step 7: 5g scoop of creatine
▫️Step 8: This is possibly the most important step, but add 7 ice cubes! Too few will make your smoothie luke-warm-cold, and too many will make for a rock solid popsicle (which is not what I want)
▫️Step 9: Press blend and be patient with your blender. It’s a process after all😌
▫️Step 10: Pour the smoothie into the most aesthetic cup you own (possibly a mason jar, a wine glass, the blender itself, etc.)
▫️Step 11: Take a video of yourself drinking the smoothie while making a flex 💪🏻or some other aesthetic pose. Don’t forget to tag #ChefQattan in it so I know you followed these directions!

📊 Mixed Berry Smoothie of Greens and Gains (per serving)
CROCK POT CHILI CON CARNE:
✔️500g extra lean beef mince ✔️half an onion
✔️half a capsicum
✔️1 can of kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
✔️1 can of crushed tomatoes
✔️1 can of tomato paste
✔️1 package @MasterFoods Chili Con Carne recipe base
◼️Put first 4 ingredients in a non-stick pan and sautée until beef is browned. When done, place in crockpot with all remaining ingredients and mix together. Cook on low for 6-7 hours.

I know, I know. This picture doesn't do it justice, but y'all I made a crockpot full of beef stroganoff tonight and it was SO GOOD!
I've been on the hunt for a comparable crockpot version to my favorite dinner and I found it!
It goes as follows: •1-2 lbs beef (I prefer ground but you can definitely use stew meat as well!)
•One cup of sliced mushrooms (or more if you love them like me)
•2 cups beef broth
•3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (or as much as you'd like, you can always add more later as well)
•salt / pepper / garlic powder
Let this cook on high for 9 hours or low for 5 hours.
After you let it cook the appropriate amount of time you're going to mix 3-4 tbsp of corn starch (or flour) with 1/2 cup beef broth, and stir that in to the sauce.
•1 cup sour cream
•6 oz of cubed cream cheese
Stir and let cook for 20-30 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
Serve over egg noodles and you're done!
Definitely one of my favorite dinners and this recipe makes it so easy!
