Lemon Boats 🍋⛵️🌊
Yesterday, we purchased a lemon tree for the backyard. The lemons looked so beautiful, that I decided not to hesitate and make my favorite lemon ice cream, immediately. Growing up, my mom would make this ice cream for all the neighbors who would gladly donate their lemons. This was the first time I’ve made the lemon boats myself, so I chose to add some personal style and outfit them with sails and some extra lemon zest. ✨
LEMON ICE CREAM RECIPE: 📝
1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together 2 cups of sugar and 4 cups of heavy cream until all the sugar dissolves.
2. Next, add 2 tsp of finely grated lemon zest and 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir until the mixture is fully incorporated. (PRO TIP: Add more or less of the lemon depending on how tart you like the flavor. Some lemons are not as strong as others. Use your own judgement here.)😉💛
3. Lastly, pour the mixture into a large glass casserole dish, cover it with plastic wrap, and place it in the freezer. When the cream is frozen, it’s done! Freezing normally takes a few hours, so be patient.⏰

👩🏻🍳Recipe: Fried chilis and garlic in heated oil, add minced pork, fried a bit then add shrimps, oyster mushroom, and small amount of water. Season with salt, sugar, dark soya sauce, and soya sauce. Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot on steamed rice 🔥
I really love the combination of warm, garlicky farro with caramelized, roasted cauliflower and salty feta and olives in this roasted cauliflower and farro salad with feta and avocado. Warm and filling with Greek flavors, it makes a delightful winter salad. Anyone else constantly dreaming of ways to eat pesto?! I think it’s a whole food group in my diet. Since I try to eat mostly #wholefoodsplantbased (and #oilfree !), storebought pesto is usually a no-go, since it’s made with Parmesan cheese & olive oil! So, I came up with my own recipe, made with cashews for heartiness. One of the biggest perks of coming back home for the holidays other than spending time with people I looooooveee is the foooood. I’m not kidding when I say that this was truly the best version of aglio e olio pasta I’ve ever had, that my mom made. I’ve tried this pasta in over 30 places (no joke) and the balance between the olive, garlic, parmesan & basil was beyond perfect. I have a recipe up on the blog (check it out in the recipe section)! Recently tried a unique version like dhokla/aluvadi for carrots and it was super hit.. This is not my recipe, came across this while reading a book. 💜 I assumed this recipe was shared by me last night but this was in my drafts 😬 sorry for that. °
🍴Ingredients - 2 cups grated carrot, 1 & half cup gram flour, ginger garlic paste 2tbspn, green chilli thecha 2tbspn, coriander half cup, semolina 2tbspn (fine), salt.
💞If you are new to the word thecha, take some green chilies and half cup coriander and grind it in a fine paste 🍴Procedure - In a bowl mix grated carrots, ginger garlic paste, gram flour, thecha, semolina and 2tbspn oil. The consistency should be same as it is while we make a dhokla or aluvadi. Let it settle for sometime and transfer this to the cooker vessel wid some oil greased before it is poured down in order to remove it smoothly from the vessel. After 2 to 3 whistles remove this down wid a help of knife and make square pieces of these. °
Now take a pan or kadai. I prefer tawa as they fry evenly. Add some oil, mustard & cumin seeds and fry the carrot vadi now. Let it fry with minimal oil as it was alrdy steamed no need to deep fry.
😝 enjoy it wid tomato sauce or green mint chutney.

✔️ Il radicchio rosso apporta preziosi micro-nutrienti .
✔️ E' ricco di #saliminerali come ferro, magnesio, fosforo, potassio, rame e calcio e #vitamine .
✔️Ha poteri #depurativi , #lassativi , #stimolanti del sistema immunitario e #antianemici .
Lavate e tagliate il radicchio a pezzetti. Tagliate la cipolla finemente e fatela dorare in casseruola con 1 cucchiaio di olio di oliva. Aggiungete il radicchio rosso e il sale e lasciate cuocere circa 2 minuti.
.Aggiungete il riso integrale e fate tostare 1-2 minuti. Successivamente aggiungete il brodo q.b. a coprire il riso. Lasciate cuocere per circa 15 minuti (il tempo di cottura può variare a seconda del tipo di riso scelto) coprendo la casseruola con un coperchio. A fine cottura aggiungete il parmigiano e un filo di olio a crudo. (Se si preferisce una versione #vegan si può sempre sostituire il formaggio con le noci!) .
Un'ottima idea può essere quella di guarnire il piatto con timo, scorza di arancia, pepe oppure prezzemolo.

I’ve made these before and I thought they were good but the way I made them this time just turned them into little pieces of chocolate goodness 😋 .
R E C I PE 👩🏻🍳
Mix together in a food processor:
3 cups coconut
1 cup @crede_natural_oils coconut oil
5ml vanilla essence
Line a square baking dish with baking paper. Add mixture to dish and smooth over top until fine and flat. Freeze for 1 hour.
Melt 200gr dark chocolate. I used @afrikoachocolate sugar free and 55% dark chocolate 🍫 .
Take coconut mixture out freezer and cut into small squares. Coat each block with chocolate and place on baking paper on a baking tray. Freeze for 2 hours! ❄️ Take out and enjoy! Keep in an airtight container and store in freezer! 😊 .
Perfect treat for when the chocolate cravings strike! 💜
