So many new fun things happening over here at the market. I haven't had much time to share, or blog, or sleep... You get the picture! But, we are loving this awesome opportunity to share what we do with you!
Just a heads up for those of you thinking about custom orders. We are running about 2-3 weeks out on signs and about a month or slightly longer on larger furniture pieces. If you're in a pinch we will do everything we can to accommodate, but we can't make any guarantees. We continue to restock the store with lighting, chalkboards, signs, candle holders and other unique pieces so stop in and see us!
Happy Memorial Day and THANK YOU to all who have served or are serving our beautiful country!
Week 5 Challenge - Drop Sets! I actually enjoy drop sets, and I try to incorporate them regularly. For this particular workout, I was performing dumbbell shoulder presses, having a warmup set, followed by 3 sets of 8 reps. Then I added a set with 6 reps followed by a 10lb drop to max reps (7 in this case). And it was one of my favorite exercises this week! Also, this week I started at a new gym, so I'm hoping that will be good for me. #stillinit @bodybuildingcom @dymatize @teamdymatize @transformforlife @kagedmusclesupps #transformforlife#rebuild#redesign#reclaim#newme#bestself#kagedmuscleshirt#kagedmuscle#dropsets#week5challenge
Lunch break between the drum circles yesterday. It was about 6 years ago that the drum was gifted to me (two of them actually - mahsi Kim) and they were both made in a drum making workshop with the elder that I sat in my first drum circle with that year. It was no coincidence that when we met we felt immediately that we'd be walking side by side for years to come and she would lovingly take me under her wing. I was so eager to drum after that circle I almost bought this drum that was in a little coffee shop in smith at the time, but I had heard that it's traditional to be gifted your first drum... so I waited and for weeks I would go visit that drum, keeping myself from reaching for my wallet. It turned out that the women's shelter I was working had this beautiful woman who must've seen something in me to gift me two drums that she wasn't using and that she had made with this elder. I was deeply touched and in awe of how they came to me. It's tough at times to trust the road, the teachings, and simply wait for your time when we can so easily make things happen with money. I'm grateful that little coyote in me was held at bay by the eagle who knew better. (Though it was a close competition lol). Now, 6 years later... I'm still drumming, and sharing it. Who knew this would be a part of my life's journey. Certainly not me. All I knew is that since my late teens I began to feel something was missing inside. I travelled the world over and many other beautiful spiritual traditions. But it wasn't until I landed my feet back in Fort smith, where my ancestors come from, that my culture, my teachings, my heartbeat returned to me. And when I heard that drum, that little space of emptiness inside of me lit up. It was this... the beauty way was missing. It has taken me all over the place and this drum has helped me and many other people to journey inside for the healing we all need. So grateful. Even on days like this when I can feel I'm stretching my energy and I have a lingering headache and I need more sleep.... it keeps me going because I'm not in charge. There is something bigger that wants to be shared and I'm merely showing up for roll call. 🌿
Learning to love this life and myself is an art that will take a lifetime to perfect. It is a practice with so many stops and starts. For me it begins with being able to open my heart to receive Divine love which I experience through the people who love me, through animals and nature. It then requires a deep yes to everything that comes into my life including those things that hurt. It ripens and matures as I am able to say yes and accept my shadowy parts which are always on the other side of my light parts. I am then able to love others without needing them to be anything other than their human selves. It's my life's work with so many opportunities to practice💙💛💜🖤❤️💚#gatherher#love . #loveheals#beautifultruth#recovery#reclaim#returntolove
What's better than fresh cilantro? Using the stems to make a delicious green sauce! 🌿

@rachellerobinett: Earth Day was fun, right? Let's do it again today with a food waste tip from my favorite resource for that, @savethefood. Because food is the #1 thing in our landfills. 🕳
This is their recipe for cilantro stems - the poor plant parts we almost always waste. *Cilantro Stem Green Sauce*
- 1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar or lemon juice
- Salt and pepper pinches
- 1⁄2 cup cilantro stems
- 1⁄2 cup olive or grapeseed oil
- 1⁄2 tsp cumin
Blend or food-process vinegar, salt and pepper. Swirl a few times to dissolve the salt. Add stems, olive oil, and cumin — puree. ♻️ Eat, or refrigerate. "Thank you!" - Earth
