How great does this pallet wood feature wall look? This will be going behind the reception desk. There is also another strip like this but wider further down the room. They look good and break up the long wall too. This job has been a satisfying one. It’s great to see things come together and things that were an idea, are now there to look at and touch. I’m back over there tomorrow to finish the reception desk but apart from that, it’s just about there. Decorators are in next week and the flooring will be going down too. I will be heading back over there the week after to assemble and fit the two main desks. I really can’t wait to see it all finished! On a side note, the #ryobi nail gun has been great this week. I have previously owned Gas nail guns and this is hands down the best I’ve used. If anyone is think about getting a new nail gun, my money is on one of these @ryobitoolsuk @ryobipowertools

Brought these sconces home from @bonbonhome which are now up in our dining room. And technically, we didn’t need any more doors, but this pair was just too good to turn down. Check out my insta stories to see them in place on either “wing” of our hallway.
#festoolfriday .... just got I my ts75 from @acmetools...came in less than 48 hours and also added the 105" track....as @macnwood said...game changer. Had to bet the price increase and have projects waiting for this saw....went with the 75 for depth of cut as I have materials at times larger than what the 55 or Makita or D ewalt saw would cut.....lastly....@furniturebypete has an open amount of bashing comments on this post after I said last year that track saws suck.....go ahead buddy.....I regret saying it and own up to the mistake.....:)
#followfriday time everyone!! This week I would greatly appreciate it if you would go follow @hillswoodshop He is very new to Instagram but is obviously a talented maker and puts out some great content.

For anyone that personally knows me and knows my journey in life knows I have overcome numerous accounts of adversity. They would also tell you of the many talents I have and share with the world regularly. I have gone through this life adventure finding great things about myself and have found the one thing that completely opens up my creativity levels. “Wood-Working”
I originally started wood-working to just fix a few ideas or to build a few decor pieces / furniture for myself. After numerous accounts of people asking for the same item I built myself, I decided to take a turn this year and start “Hill’s Woodshop”. I understand that most of the worlds furniture and decor comes from overseas for a fraction of the price that only last a short time due to its quality of build. I feel that the American dream relies on us people that can dream and build their future.
Speaking on that, I welcome you with open arms to follow along my journey and develop friendships with never ending knowledge exchanges. Build great products and allow you to have a piece of Hill’s Woodshop in your home or workplace to remind yourself of the core values that I build these things for.

If you have followed this entire post, what motivates you to continue your day? What pushes you to be creative? What enables you to do great today?
My #followfriday goes out to none other than John over @johnayalawoodworks. He’s been killing it with the black walnut. His cutting boards have some awesome grain character and he’s going some sweet shelving that’s he’s building that’s walnut as well. He’s a great guy who is always willing to help out a fellow woodworker. Please go over to his page, check it out and give him a follow!
I am planning to build an out feed table for the new saw and am looking for any suggestions some fellow builders might have? Is there a must have you've got in your table? This will also be my assembly station. Hit me up! (Note: this is not my shop just a bit of inspiration).
No matter what life throws at you... at the end of the day, your dog will always love you! ❤️ Tomorrow I will have a rug update up on my blog. I can’t wait to share details with you! Unfortunately, today is a sad reminder for me how short life truly is. Give each day your best shot, be kind, caring, forgiving, understanding and so much more. It’s the little things that can change everything for someone and life can change in a blink of an eye.
A work in progress- sterling silver shield pendant with triangular back-holes. Backholing, or azuring, is the process of cutting away metal behind bead-set or pavé stones in a shape complementing the design of the piece. This makes the piece lighter, more wearable and is a sign of quality in fine jewellery due to being so labour intensive.
