The gorgeously decorated skeletal remains of St. Felix. After the Reformation, the Catholic Church tried to win back their flock by displaying ornately embellished holy relics..these jeweled saints can still be seen in churches throughout Switzerland, Germany & Austria. For more information check out @hexenkult's excellent book Heavenly Bodies, it's what inspired us to make the trip ourselves! Interesting how things go. Bought this interesting pictures, sadly they are reprints, but that is not that important. The pictures were taken at a ceremony in front of a WW1 monument on the Rasnoavei Valley, near Predeal where Romanian and Austro-Hungarian Armies fought in the autumn of 1916. Funny how politicaly correct turnes former enemies into allies in less than 25 years. The Romanian Flag and the Nazi one are on top of the monument and and at the bottom, officers from both armies commemorate the fallen soldiers.
