Shoulder pain that can't seem to go away? Check your diaphragm.
In cases of stubborn #shoulder and #neck pain, particularly when present during assessment, if the pain doesn't change with either active or passive #movement , consider your #visceralorgans . The same #spinalsegments that receive #sensory input from the shoulder, receive input from the #diaphragm . If the diaphragm becomes irritated, the brain might be tricked and believe the shoulder is the #cause of the pain. If you have tried everything you thought could help your shoulder and no #relief is obtained, maybe it's time to look elsewhere.

First Aid Neck Therapy 👌🏻
Due to a car accident a couple of years ago, in which I was rear-ended, I have two herniated discs in my neck. Any time I have been very busy, not taken enough time to practice and/or have done a workout that was too strenuous on my upper body, my neck tightens up and causes serious pain. Lying on a block with the occipital ridge (where the skull meets the fleshy part of the neck) gives major relief.
How to do it: lie on your back with the occipital ridge on the edge of a yoga block (see picture). Carefully and slowly, while keeping the weight of your head on the block, turn your head to one side until you feel you hit a "knot" of muscle. Stay there for 5 breaths or up to a minute. Slowly shift your head to feel if there is another area where there is a lot of tension. Pause there for equal time. Then turn your head slowly all the way to the other side and repeat the process. When you're done, use your hands to support your head when lifting it off the block. Lie down on your back for a few breaths to feel the effect of this myofascial release.
So I am going to end my yesterday--and start my today--with this poetry series that features the brighter side of letting go. Of course, pain is a price to pay but trust me, huge relief awaits you... Good night and have a good day, too.

I recently got myself some Ease cream and capsules. Guys, this stuff is awesome! With packing up my house and moving, it's been great to use for my achy body. Both the cream and capsules work to relieve achy muscles and joints, reduce inflammation, and the cream can even be used for bug bites! The capsules work from the inside, while the cream works on the outside for complete inside-out relief. So glad to have this in my arsenal of natural remedies. #natural#relief#achyjoints#discomfort#antiinflammatory#naturalremedies
