I spent much of my weekend with my choir. With all the crap going on in my professional and personal life...I always have about about 15 other people like me to come back to on Wednesday nights and make some amazing music. Sometimes that’s all I need to make everything alright ❤️ #Choir#music#renaissancemusic
The prerequisite of contrapuntal art, more conspicuous in the work of Bach than in that of any other composer, is an ability to conceive a priori of melodic identities which when transposed, inverted, made retrograde, or transformed rhythmically will yet exhibit, in conjunction with the original subject matter, some entirely new but completely harmonious profile. G.G. in "So You Want To Write A Fugue", Glenn Gould Reader, p. 240.
Three years ago, who would have guessed that early music would grow and reach more people in Singapore? We're glad to have two brilliant gambists and various renaissance wind instruments in our last concert.
Next month we'll bring you through some of the more familiar-sounding music from a Christmas vesper service in the Baroque Venice, from composers such as Monteverdi, Gabrieli, Cima, and Vivaldi. This concert will feature choral works as well as a few instrumental numbers.
For HIP-heads: you will be seeing these instruments: baroque bows, gut strings, baroque oboes, baroque recorders, lute, baroque guitar, digital harpsichord, digital organ. A = 415 hz.
Mark your calendars: 9th and 10th December 2017, 8pm

Welcome to Alien Throwbacks, where every Thurs & Fri I post vids of music I've made & what inspired me to make it!
We're on to Vol. 9. This 2016 track took me back to my house roots! I had this playing in my house once when dear friend told me it made them feel like drinking champagne naked in the 🛀 🤷🏾♀️🥂😂. Issa #mood tho.
