The lively weekend-long pedestrian zone around Hoan Kiem Lake is a great example of what can happen when cars and motorbikes are banned from the streets. Other vehicles have taken over some corners of the area though, namely toy electric cars. Tanks like this one are particularly popular among the male under-6 demographic.

We are highlighting our 5 favorite travel photos from @outside_project Explorers on our site resource.travel or using the link in our profile or stories. This capture from @taylersteven was easily one our favorites! Tayler told us: “In 2017 I traveled quite a bit and I feel I took the best photos I’ve ever taken. But my most memorable moment happened while standing atop the Arc De Triomph in Paris. We had arrived at the top and waited for the sun to start to set. When it did, I didn’t imagine the sky to explode with vibrant colors like it did. After snapping some photographs, I put my camera down and the sun slowly faded away as the Eiffel Tower started to light up. I can’t wait to capture more memories like this in 2018.
My best piece of advice when taking photos is to shoot at angles that you really haven’t seen before or opposite of what your friends are doing. This will allow you to catch your own unique perspective on a subject new or old.” #ResourceTravel#Outside_Project#Paris#France#EiffelTower#TravelStoke#ResourceMag
Golden hour from the roof of the Rosewood hotel in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. My next destination won’t be so colorful (I can’t think of many places that are), but oh, will there be views... .
Fun fact: the entire city of San Miguel is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was selected because it “constitutes an exceptional example of the interchange of human values, acted as a melting pot where Spaniards, Creoles and Amerindians exchanged cultural influences, and is an exceptional example of the integration of different architectural trends and styles on the basis of a 16th century urban layout.”
Let me translate that for all the Millennials and Gen Z-ers out there who obviously won’t understand: San Miguel is hella dope and lit AF rn
TOAT countdown: 4 days.
