*This is NOT a weight loss post! I actually weigh more now than before!*
Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and wonder if I'm progressing at all in my vintage journey. And then I see before and after photos. 🙈
Vintage items and style have had their own journey. It took time to become classic so why am I so hard on myself during my own style evolution?
The black dress photo was taken in March 2016 and the green dress was photographed December 2015.
I remember waking up that Christmas and saying, "That's it! I'm just going to go for it! The hair! The makeup! The fashion!" So I put on a petticoat and used a mens tie as a bow.
You know, the epitome of classic vintage style! Hahaha!
I've since learned a little more every day and am starting to find my own groove within the vintage look. 💓
I'm learning to mix new with old, keep my playfulness and not take it so seriously. After all, self expression is supposed to be fun!
Be gentle with yourself on whatever road you're on. Create your own path, dance your own way, move at your own pace and never forget to cheer yourself on. Self love is sooooooo important.
There is no one in this world that is going to leave a mark quite like you do.
So keep it unique, ever evolving and wonderfully you.
And most importantly, don't be so hard on yourself. You're always doing better than you think!💓
