Decided to drink the last of my home brew as a reward and had a quick mud mask. My skins been supper oily today and you can see by all the dark patches just how bad it was. Thank god I have this to get rid of it all!!! Swipe for my results. ➡️
What does your daily activity look like? For me, the easiest way to create a calorie deficit is via increasing expenditure by doing regular bursts of activity.👌🏼👍🏼😄
I ALWAYS start my day with an hours walk before work.👣 Then after work I do my training session followed by cardio.💪🏼💦 Then there's usually a short walk 👣 followed by another decent walk in the evening. This may seem like a lot but it's what's necessary to keep me in a calorie deficit whilst still eating as much as I can. The higher your calorie intake the higher your nutrient intake.....unless you eat a load of crap!🙈 I find that walking is a very easy/non physically taxing way of burning calories. It clears my mind and takes very little out of me leaving me fresh for my training sessions.
We're all very different so it stands to reason that what works best for us will vary too.😄Make sure you have a proper discussion with your coach so that your plan can fit into your life and stay there for your journey.👌🏼👍🏼❤

In his groundbreaking book, The Power Of Habit, Duhigg sifts through the research and reveals how best to attach this habit conundrum. As it turns out there is a scientific way to approach habit formation. It all centers around what Duhigg calls the habit loop. The loop begins with a cue, followed by the routine, which is then followed by the reward, from there the habit loop starts over again. The more often this loop is carried out, the more ingrained the habit or behavior. If you can understand how this habit loop works, you can modify any habit or behavior. If you have any interest in changing your own habits, then it is certainly worth taking the time to read The Power Of Habit. And as Duhigg tells us, Habits can be changed, if we understand how they work."

I started as a facilitator almost three years ago.
I did not know anything about AVP (Alternative to Violence Project). The workshops we run are to improve communication skills and reduce resentment in the community and also to overcome trauma or anger. At first, I decided to become a facilitator because I wanted to improve my communication skills in my dealings with refugees (I am a lawyer), especially the ones suffering from trauma and any kind of torture. But then I realised the workshops can be designed and beneficial to anyone in the community. Lots of participants come back and do the workshops more than once!
I love the fact that I meet lots of people from different backgrounds and walks of life. That makes every workshop unique and gives me the opportunity to improve my interpersonal and social skills.
I have seen great changes in people attending our workshops and it feels amazing to be part of this change! Seeing participants improve their lifes dramatically is very rewarding! Patricia
