Let's talk imagery 📷 ⠀
Your images should be a reflection of what you're trying to communicate. If you take away the words, does the message still explain your point? It's all good to use a nice looking image, but if it doesn't assist in the overall communication is it really worth using? ⠀
Hi! 🙋🏻 My name is @theminifitty, a 17y/o fitness enthusiast and I made this account to keep me fitness accountable.
I previously had a regular Instagram but have decided to keep my regular life and my fitness life separate for privacy reasons as I live in a small ass town and sometimes people aren't very accepting. 🤷🏻♀️
Sooo, just to give you a little background on me, the first photo was in summer 2014, I was tiny(er), struggling with #anorexianervosa , and excessive with everything I did.
Eventually, I recovered into the (somewhat) recent photo on the right and have been lifting for about 4 years.
Once in awhile I still struggle with body image and food, but this account hopefully will help me fully immerse myself into the fitness world that helped me so much in the past. 💕
I hope to become a personal trainer after I graduate and hopefully help people also understand that there is more to life than fad diets, eating disorders, and being skinny.
When The Cat wants in on your progress pic 😹 This was from a couple months ago but I forgot about these until today. They seemed appropriate for #humpday and because I DID work legs today but didn't take any pics 🙀 say whaaa?? Fitness is hard. Scratch that (ha... see what I did there? 😼). STAYING committed to fitness is hard. We ALL have busy schedules, families, work, errands, appointments, Netflix shows we've never seen, and just life. Getting to the gym isn't easy for anyone. It takes time out of your day that could easily be spent doing something else.
You have to make it a must. Make it as important as any of your other commitments you make time for. Schedule it in if you have to. I have a weekly agenda on my phone and each week I figure out what time I can make it to the gym. (It changes daily!) Happy hump day people... make the 2nd half of the week count!
Happy 🐪 Day IG world! I was tagged by @na_dev13 to share 🖐🏼 things that might give you insight into who I am & a little more glimpse of my world 🤔Thanks girl 👊🏼
1. I'm a midwest girl, born & raised in Indiana 🌽but after my 1st year of college I said 👋🏼 and headed south. I lived in AL (circa '08-'10?) & NC (circa '10-'16). Currently living in NH and loving it! (Except I pretty much despise the Pats...but shhh...I live in enemy territory!)
2. I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a concentration in reading, but truthfully, it is my least fav to teach. I prefer math 🤓I don't use my degree...after having our son & moving north, we decided (& are blessed to be able to!) that I would stay home with little man 👶🏻
3. I HATE avocados 🥑😷. Like gag reflex hate them. I want to love them. I think it's the texture. I put those bad boys in smoothies tho.
4. Fall is my favorite time of year. #basic Pumpkin everything 🎃The leaves 🍁Football 🏈 Chili 😋Cooler running temps 🙌🏼
5. I love being outside! 🌲🌳Little man & I (and our dog Wilbur!) head out to the trails almost daily. Usually Wilbur leads, little man follows, and I bring up the rear. That kid will follow "dog-dog" anywhere 👶🏻❤️🐶 Anyways. That's me. 🤷🏽♀️✌🏼
Tagging a few IG friends for them to share next.
My morning workouts are having to be tweaked since Daryl can't drive. Between getting Chandler to school and practices I have to get creative. I downloaded my workout to love you iPad. Brought my markers. Found a shady spot and went for it. 92* and humidity out the wazoo 🍑. But it's done. And only one person came across me and was super uncomfortable so he left 😂😂😂😂 #mobileworkout#atthepark#itwashot

REALLY happy with today's session. In for 500 out for 1350. Played really solid and didnt get a stack and start leaking. Trying to sure up the weak parts of my game. Didnt overplay speculative hands and mixed in a good amount of bluffs and semibluffs. Trying to play a more well rounded game. Gotta work tonight and then try and get a PLO session in tomorrow. #poker#pokerlife#2 /5 #dowhatyoulove#lovewhatyoudo#riseandgrind
Overhead DB extensions💪🏼
My focus on this movement is letting the weight stretch my triceps on the way down. This is where you will really feel it the most. I don't push the weight high at all, just focus on the muscle mind connection.
Worked with 4 sets of 20 in a superset with some bicep curls.
Incline dumbbell curls‼️
Easily my favorite bicep movement where you really feel the burn🔥I keep the weight light on these and hit sets of 20's.
Main focus on these should be to let the weight stretch your arm all the way straight, and then contract back up. Don't let your body give momentum in moving the weight. This is solely about focusing on the contraction.
