A few months back my squats took a massive dip in strength after I tweaked my hip 😔 It's taken 3 months to progressively work back up to the same sort of weights I was lifting before the injury .. this was such a physically and emotionally demanding process but through patience and consistency I'm gradually making my way back ! 🏆 Still got a few things to clean up but my confidence is building and things are moving in the right direction 🙌 Social media often highlights the positives that are going on in people's lives but rest assured .. we all face challenges .. we all face struggles .. you are not alone !! 💯 Keep your eye on the prize and never stray away from your goals 💙

Here's my first check in. I'm now 7 weeks post baby. Body fat is down ⬇️ 2.3% and skeletal muscle mass is ⬆️ up almost 1% I definitely want to see that SMM number rise a little quicker. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the gym a little more in the next 4 weeks. Excited to be making progress. Remember just because it's the holidays doesn't mean your fitness goals need to be put on the back burner. There are plenty of ways to enjoy treats without going over board! .
Took a week off from the gym: .
-Finished my Christmas shopping .
-Purchased and decorated Christmas🎄 .
-Finish all assignments/exams for my classes .
-Graduating this Thursday with my degree .
-Quit my second job well because I hated it .
-Deep cleaned my house .
-Eat whatever I wanted and it was awesome .
-Overcame a mental difficulty that was fucking with my happiness and wellbeing .
With all the time spent and focus on other things that week, there wasn’t a day that went by where I didn’t think about going to the gym. Sometimes life is hard to juggle, and with all the holidays rolling in, it’s hard to maintain a set schedule. I can honestly say I have missed the gym. I felt as if I gained 15 pounds. I judged my body so hard during that week that I felt my arms were bigger, my stomach was always bloated and my ass was saggy. Yes that is how my mind works! .
I still don’t feel as good as I did before I took the week off but it was much needed. I needed to rest, smile, laugh, and enjoy the little things more than I have been. I can still say I’m proud of my body but now I got a lot more work to do. ✨Second part of leg day from a few days ago, seriously this was one 🔥workout. I was sore for days too. I did 4sets of 15 all sets. Monday’s are my usual rest days.
