Me as a fat teenager till the age of sixteen, back then sports and me were far as Mars from Earth to me.
At some point I decided to make a change and for a year I ate mostly chicken breast & veggies but I binged many times on junk as my family food choices clearly were not healthy. I started running and fell in love with the feeling after you digging deep and reaching your goal. At some point I decided to do a Iron Man triathlon, bought a simple road bike and discovered my biggest passion - road cycling.
Many details to spair In one year of training as a regular IDF soldier I won the national road cycling championships (Photo 2) and that was the begging of my battle with my weight as it was crucial to become a Pro 73-75 kg on 193.5 frame.
3.5 years I fought and lost every time but I didn't gave up and each time I became more and more frustrated it led me to fast for 5 days and I dropped from 86 to 81kg which led to binging back on the fruit diet to 93kg, I was lost with crashed hormonal system from strenuous training (up to 3.5k km / month ) and each meal took me further from my dream to win the TDF,Giro,World championships.
I was used to suffering and living in a grey world aka being depressed and ok with it. later it led to bulimia nervosa as last resort but my body resisted too hard which led to eating uncontrollably. After a while My folks told me to visit a psychologist and after couple of visits I acknowledged the fact that all the work has to be done by me and only me. The first step is to choose to get out of depression, to accept yourself and let go of the things you obsessed about. I had to fix my relationship with food so I ate and not to get too fat I started lifiting (photo 7) and It made me better every day, by looks and confidence.
Maby some day I'll come back and show to the boys in the Pro peloton how you should ride a bike and win everything but either way I'm happy and content with myself regardless of anything.
It's a brief version of what I been through, never stop believing in yourself and if not I believe in you.

It is very nice to ride Lanzarote with your roadbike. You can feel the wind, enjoy the sun (and the clouds), the surprising landscapes, the parfum of the fig trees... Roads are safe and drivers are respectful. However it happens that sometimes the road surface gets very rugged like this one. But this is part of the adventure. #lanzarote#roadbike#cycling#twowheels
