First official step of many to participate in my first meet.
My heart feels like its going to come out of my ass from excitement. My injuries all feel like they are on the right side of healed, I'm feeling awesome and I'm ready to fucking go. This meet isn't about competing per se, its more about goal setting and quantifying the progress, but its mostly about having a rad time under the iron.
Big thanks @powerliftingwomen for helping me summon enough ove's to let myself finally start embarking on this rad odyssey.

It’s my 500th (!) post, which means it’s time to reflect. I’ve been doing this fitness thing, to varying degrees of intensity and adherence, for almost two years now. I have learned to feel excited about strength and physical power, and the rush of lifting something that just last week was too heavy to get off the floor. I’ve dropped only 10% of my original body weight in that time, but my body fat percentage has decreased by 14% while my muscle mass increased 14%. I think that more or less makes this the recomp to end all recomps? I’ve dealt with injuries and seemingly endless physiotherapy, and only recently have I started to feel like my body is fundamentally reconsidering how it negotiates its surroundings. I’m hoping next year is the year I get to start lifting heavy for real, but until then, just gotta focus on improving stability and cardio, plus dropping as much body fat as I can without compromising my mental health.
Basically, the important thing is this: I’m still here. Keep showing up. Some days it’s a half assed effort and some days it all seems impossible, but if you give yourself a little grace and keep one eye towards your long term health, the rest will more or less follow. Keep grinding.

Po co się męczyć z tymi którzy Cie negują? Po co w ogóle tracić na nich czas?

Transformations take time. It is not about perfection. Transformations take patience. And they take consistency. The effort you put into nutrition and training is what you’ll get out. Just like a relationship people. 🏋🏻♀️👫
Putting in work every single day, even when you don’t feel like it is how you reach your goals. We all have days where we don’t want to do anything. Hell, I had numerous days this prep where I didn’t want to get out of my bed or do much of anything. But when I reached my goal, it was the best feeling in the world. Today, I am thankful for my health and the people I have come across on my journey thus far.
Today I set a goal to pull 375 in 1 year. That might not be realistic to some people and I’d have to have a solid ass training and continuous progression butttt according to this program, if I add 10 lbs every month to my max, that’s 120lbs more than I’m pulling now.
I know I will get there. Determination is everything. Set goals for yourself.
And above all
PRIDE. POWER. PERFORMANCE.
What is your ultimate goal you wish to accomplish in the next year?! Fitness related or not?!
