At the end of the Wizard of Oz, the Good Witch Gilda tells Dorothy, "You had the Power all along, my dear." It would have been much easier for Dorothy to have known this before she set out on her journey, but we are all aware that Dorothy had to experience the Yellow Brick Road for herself. She had to confront her fears and confrontations for herself.
My mom always told me that whatever I put my mind to do I could achieve. I thought she was just saying that. After all, who doesn't think their child has the super potential to be anything they want. My mom died eight years ago. That was a heartbreaking detour along my path.
Now I know what my mom meant, though. I imagine when I see her again that she will say to me, "I'm not surprised you achieved greatness in your life. After all, you had the Power all along, my dear." We are all like Dorothy, and our lives all follow a Yellow Brick Road. Sometimes people come into our lives and stay for a lifetime or just a little while. Life is all about teaching and learning lessons. And all along that road we have Power with our choices.
And we also have the Power to get what we want. And to quote Nora Roberts: "If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place." So get out there now, set your goals and Crush Em!
I want to be RICH! Not rich with money, but to have a rich life. One where my kids won't have to worry about how long dad is going to be gone. Or where my wife doesn't have to worry if we have enough money for the bills this month. I want freedom to do things, be an entrepreneur, be in the gym 2-3 hours a day, fulfill my passions, give my children the life I wish I could've had. And most importantly have time to LOVE my family. The gym gives me a release from all the stress, but I know my family is stressed to. I just want to make them happy. #roadtosuccess#freedom#grindmothereffer#hustle#teamnosleep#behappy#richlife
Exercise is a form of stress in the body. In appropriate amounts, it is a positive stressor that promotes healthy adaptations. By repeating quality movement patterns, the body becomes stronger and more resilient. Inappropriate amounts of training is maladaptive. It breaks the body down and makes it susceptible to injury. The best athletes practice the master the basic foundation movements, before adding volume. Practice makes permanent. #roadtosuccess#liftlikeagirl#strongisthenewskinny#crossfit#sottspress#olympiclifting#squatdeep#mvmt42
Doors are always closing and always opening. It's humbling to see where your mind takes you while you sleep, what you truly want or subliminally think about comes to the surface. Moral of the story; Listen to what your head says when you're not using it. #wokeuplikethis#whosmanisthis#roadtosuccess
