probably one of my best training days in a good while; everything felt great and only had one miss
Worked up to a decent 140 squat which could have had slightly better positioning but it's coming slowly. Followed it with backoff 3x2 @ 126
Hit a decent 80 snatch and was able to actually control it pretty well without getting floppy seagull elbows in the catch
Also hit a nice 103 c&j. I missed 100 but it was stupid so I just went up 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ RIP LEGS
As every gym or movement space should have (well we believe so anyway) is a foundation that everything stems from. Align the body (the mind too), prime it for movement, perform and continue to grow and never forget that little play aspect in their too. The best part is when people have been doing this for ages and had no idea why they were benefitting so much.
Shout out to our friend Kevin who won our latest 6 week challenge at Goose Island CrossFit! Out of 30 participants, Kevin fought long and hard to count his macros and make it to the gym 6 times a week. He lost 9lbs and several inches, gaining muscle along the way. How great does he look? ⚫️115lb/52kg bell⚫️4 lift unbroken complex of deadstop clean to bent press to x4 overhead squats to reverse press each side done back to back as 1 set for 3 sets (x8 OHS each set), then 7 more sets of same unbroken complex but x3 of the overhead squats (x6 OHS each set) - 10 sets with 115lb/52kg bell. Prior, did same unbroken complex (but x1 overhead squat each side for x2 rep sets) each side back to back as 1 set per bell with bells of 31lb/14kg, 35lb/16kg, 40lb/18kg, 44lb/20kg, 48lb/22kg, 53lb/24kg, 57lb/26kg, 61lb/28kg, 66lb/30kg, 70lb/32kg, 79lb/36kg, 88lb/40kg, 97lb/44kg, 106lb/48kg. 24 sets of this complex total. After, hit a superset of 115lb/52kg bell deadstop clean to bent press to reverse press each side done back to back per set with 2 45lbs/20kgs steel clubs on shoulders while wearing 60lbs/28kgs chains loaded carries forwards walking for 1:00 right into backwards walking for 1:00 all done as 1 set for 5 sets (same all on each set). Ended with a 10 set superset burner of 2 25lbs/11kgs steel clubs double swipes x10 with 2 35lbs/16kgs steel clubs loaded carries gun walks (forwards & backwards walking for longer distance - elbows pinned to side with clubs out in front of me) all done as 1 set (same all on each set). ⚫️⚒⛓🔮🤡🦄🤗Snap City🤗🦄🤡🔮⛓⚒⚫️
